What To Watch Before 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

I'm about to save you a decent amount of time and energy, so you're welcome in advance. Because there are a lot of people out there saying you need to watch this movie and that movie and this TV show just before you want to go see Spider-Man Brand New Day, and that is not the case. You can trust me because not only have I seen all those TV shows and movies that they're talking about, but I've also seen Spider-Man Brand New Day. That being said, here is the very bare minimum that you need to know before you go into that movie. For the absolute full context of where the story picks up, you need to have watched Spider-Man No Way Home. Honestly, if you were really trying to jump in with no prior knowledge, you could probably just watch this movie and be okay for the most part. Obviously, you should watch the first two movies, Homecoming and Far From Home, especially because Far From Home goes right into No Way Home, but I honestly think you don't even need all of that. You can kind of flesh out the details. I'm telling you, this is like the one project that is 100% integral to Brand New Day. That being said, if you've got extra time, I would watch Thunderbolts because not only does it play into Brand New Day, but also tonally, it has a similar feel to Brand New Day. And last but certainly not least, somebody out there is going to tell you that you need to have watched the Netflix show Punisher. That's not correct. You just need to understand that this guy is Frank Castle. He's played by Jon Bernthal, and that he has a lot of trauma, and he takes it out on bad guys. If you really wanted to get into it, you could watch a YouTube recap of those seasons, but just know that he also operates in New York City, just like Spider-Man, and that he's going to appear in Brand New Day, so clearly there's some crossover. That's it. I genuinely feel like you could get away with just that knowledge. Let us know in the comments if you're excited for Brand New Day, and what projects you are most excited to see tie into this new movie.
