Video Summary
AI GeneratedConnor, a glassblower from Pensacola, Florida, demonstrates the creation of a unique glass vase using a specialized color application method. Eschewing traditional narration, the video focuses on the ambient sounds of the glass shop and the organic process of shaping the glass to achieve a one-of-a-kind pattern with swooping lines.
Hey everybody, welcome back to the studio. My name is Connor and I'm a glassblower from
Pensacola, Florida. Today we're going to be making a base with a new color application method that I
think is really starting to become one of my favorites, and if I do it right then we'll get
a unique one-of-a-kind pattern in the end. Usually we do narrations over our videos but today I
thought I'd let you guys enjoy the sounds of the glass shop. If you have any questions about the
process please make sure to leave them in the comment section below, but for now let's go ahead
and get into the studio so we can get started. The thing about this is if I put the wrong one down
it's going to immediately be too hot for me to pick back up. Yeah, I'm like, oh god. Did you do
that? Oh okay, yeah, yeah. I thought that was from like yesterday or something. No, no, no. I just
did that. Totally, okay. Totally. How'd you know? You can blow. Blow again. Okay, that's good. Thank
you. Can you give me a little bit of air? Really? Yeah, blow. Off. Blow again. Off. Sweet. Okay, that'll be the hole.
Um, yeah. All right, sweet. We'll just let that cool down and then we'll knock it.
Um, yeah, let's go for it. Do a little knock. Yeah, I think so too. Um, you can go on lightly.
Man, stop hanging out with people that work. Yeah, it's just, it's tough hearing all the same
songs over and over. Say that again. Yeah, we can put it on. Let's see where we're at. I'm
gonna measure. There is magic at the shop. We'll just do one each. Let's do the other one too.
Sweet. Blow lightly. Yes, all of this seems fine. It's there. Right there, right there.
Perfect. No, you're fine. All good. Okay, go blow light. I don't feel it. Okay, stop.
And I'll just take some air as well. Yeah, I think maybe marvering it would help too.
Well, like I had other, it's the first one on lightly. Feels good. Yeah, yeah, we're good.
Uh, but it's the first one I can remember, like they, they got me and I put it on my first iPod
Nano. Safety space, we could save stuff on it. Right. All right, off. Blow very lightly. Off.
Sorry. Oh, you're good. It always looks like a brain. Yeah. Yeah, I've seen those. Blow very
light. And blow hard. Off. Okay. Let's uh, let's just do it. Pull back. All right, you ready?
So to answer your question, yes, they are very waxed. It's just a little rain.
All right, you ready? Say, love you so, even though you don't want to know,
sneaking out the back. Don't hang out with those hoodlum friends of mine. All right,
well I can take a flash. Yes, sir. Let it fall. Flip. Up. Do it to it. Then nasty on the wall.
Oh no. Blow a little bit lightly. Off. It's like, oh, you like, I like the grooves too.
Off. Yeah, I thought you said, for some reason I heard grooves. I was like,
working like a working man do. It's crazy to think about though, like,
that's crazy to think about. But that was before my time? Yeah. Well, because like,
when I was younger, like, it was always like a thing where like,
you're at a rock and roll show and somebody like, they're like, people just scream free bird.
Because it was such like a, that's the song. Like, you've, you know, you've been to a show
where people scream free bird, right? Yeah. Yeah. Right at the end when you want the encore. Yeah.
Yeah. Exactly. It sits there. Yeah, exactly. I don't even think I've been to a rock and roll show.
The rock and roll, um, it's a bunch of fun. It started taking a lot of life of its own too.
It did. Blow. Okay. That's going to be it. Yeah. We'll let it cool down and gather.
Give me back my bullets. Yeah. I know there's like a hole in it where my thumb goes.
Yeah. So I'm kind of like, not use my thumb. Yeah. Why would I? What's a thumb? Right.
You can blow a little harder. Marry. You can blow. I'm going to blast it.
Then I started blasting. Keep going. Yep. And blow. Blow again. All right. Sweet. Blow. Blow
hard. You got a little nipple and I don't mean me. I mean, you can blow. Blow hard. Thank you.
I said choo-choo.
Blow. Blow again. We'll just do that one last time. Get a good bottom on it.
Give me a little air. Uh, yeah. Plenty please. Step down is fine. All right, man. How you feeling?
Yeah. Go on. That's going to be it. Gentlemen. I just broke it.
Nah. Let's see. All right. You ready? Got it. Right side of you. All right, guys,
and here's the final result. I'm really happy with this vase. I love how it came out. These
big swooping lines always look so cool to me. The clear in between always manipulates the light and
the different lines in such a cool way. I love it. And I really hope you guys enjoyed the process.
Usually we do a lot of narrations over the videos, but today I thought we'd just listen
to the sounds of the shop. This vase is also for sale. So if anyone's interested in purchasing
this vase, you can find a link to it in the description box down below. So thanks for hanging
out with us today, guys. If y'all have any questions, please make sure to post them in
