Our Gentlest Horse Yet? Amber’s Second Training Lesson

Amber is back for her second training lesson, and every ride confirms what we’ve thought from the beginning—she has one of the sweetest, gentlest personalities you could ask for.

JR has always believed that “kids’ horses are born, not made.” Training is important, but a truly kind, willing temperament is something special, and Amber continues to show us she may have exactly that.

After her lesson, we take Amber and our stallion, Champ, down to the river. Champ can’t resist throwing himself into the sand for a good roll, while Amber enjoys playing in the water. To finish the day, JR takes Amber on her very first ride through the river, another exciting milestone in her training.
