Alexis Lebrun vs An Jaehyun | MS SF | #WTTSaoJose 2026

And Jake you underserved first then this semi-final. WTT senior level and singles. Both at feeder level though. The WTT feeder Havarov in 2023 beats Simon Gauzy, Alexi's French teammate, Europe top 16 champion and importantly that is on the fast t-bar table that we are on today. It seems to really gel and this huge forehand counter in a good way Alexi Lebrun. So much muscle I should say. His legs are absolutely jacked. Oh chop block. Down. Wins the next four points. Alexi's up now. This Alexi, he attacked it straight into the wide forehand of Alexi and he was waiting for it. Like a miss it. So good though. Consistent hitting from Anzhi Xun. This is what happens if you're Alexi and you stay at that range. Oh what a finish. These are the types of rallies I expected. To hit the ball a little bit harder and he's found himself two game points down. But what a laser beam of a game point. That's another way to do it. I said he was struggling to time the counters. He's found it in the last three points. My goodness. Game points now to Alexi. Oh wonderful baseline hitting from Alexi Lebrun. Anzhi Xun again and he'll bomber. And he brings out the big top spin serve and a forehand bomber down the line to win it. Chop block. Oh Alexi Lebrun just bringing out the party tricks. Chop block came out early. Shades of Koki Niwa and Truls Morgard. The Frenchman. But it just feels. He's got five game points here and he does it in style. Alexi Lebrun. So what can Anzhi Xun muster up here? Oh this is out of his world. Even Alexi's smiling. Two drop shots from Anzhi Xun. I called him the shot maker for a reason. For counter though it's clear that Alexi Lebrun has the power advantage. It's got to be on Anzhi Xun. Feels like this Brazilian packed house is. Here we go Calderano and Bruno Takahashi against Tagami and Satsuki Odo. Oh head shot. We're good. Probably should have been a timeout. My word that would be special. Ridiculous rally. More out of frustration than it. I wonder if we might get a little bit of exhibition mode. It came down on the edge. What a way to win it. Ugo Calderano. Watch this beautiful backhand. But it came down. Look at that. And a nonchalant apology from Alexi.
