'New Girl': Where is The Original Cast Now?

It's hard to believe New Girl has been off the air since 2018, but the beloved sitcom has only grown in popularity thanks to streaming. Zooey Deschanel, who played the endlessly optimistic Jessica Day, has stayed busy both on screen and in music. Alongside her band, She and Him, she's continued releasing albums and even wrote and performed the iconic New Girl theme song. Since the series ended, she's also appeared in Apple TV Plus's Physical and launched the Welcome to Our Show rewatch podcast with former co-stars Hannah Simone and Lamorne Morris. Jake Johnson, best known as the lovable bartender Nick Miller, has built an impressive movie career. He voiced Peter B. Parker in Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse and its sequel. He also starred in the 2018 comedy Tag alongside Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm. Johnson even made his directorial debut in 2023 with Self Reliance, which he also wrote and starred in.
