Black-eared Shrike Babbler

The Black-eared Shrike-Babbler (Pteruthius melanotis) is a small, colourful songbird in the family Vireonidae. It is found in the montane forests of the Himalayas and parts of southern China and Southeast Asia, including northern Vietnam. This active bird feeds mainly on insects and other small invertebrates, often foraging high in the forest canopy. Males are strikingly patterned with black, white, and chestnut plumage, while females have softer olive and yellow tones.
