Traditional Chinese painting is painted on rice paper which is very thin. You will have to get it mounted on at least one layer of rice paper. Mattings are usually silk or nice fabric. Mounting can be expensive because it is manually done.
Using this type of mounted card is a cost effective way to have a nice painting framed right away. And there is already a matting border on the card, you don't even need a matting.
Material used:
Paper: half-ripe Rice paper mounted card (夾宣)
Ink (Brand: 月宮殿)
Yellow color 藤黃
Indigo 花青
Crimson/Deep red 曙紅
Happy painting!
