A-Rod and Bailey sometimes have a little bit of tear stains but we try to keep on top of it. If yours have tear stains you might want to look at what is causing the staining😊. Allergies or food are the two main things, but we also use this routine to keep the tear stains and face clean. Hope this helps you

Hi, thanks for watching my video about how to keep our Maltese faces clean.
These steps are very easy and should only take a few minutes.
Here are the tools I use. Sharp scissors, a fine comb, a regular comb,
eye wash containing boric acid, cotton rounds, and lastly some q-tips.
First step. Using q-tips to remove the eye discharge.
Let's let Bailey smell the q-tip first. This reassures that there's nothing to worry about.
Let's hold her face gently. Make sure you don't touch the eyes.
This step helps prevent discharge from getting brushed all over her hair.
Looks like she has some discharge today.
Roll off the eye discharge with the q-tip and be careful with your angle so you don't touch their
eyes. In our house we call these eye boogers. Alright. Our second step is to clean using the
eye wash. The reason we use this eye wash is because it contains boric acid which is antibacterial
and eye wash solution is very gentle. See? This is dirty.
The third step. Use a fine comb to brush out anything else.
This fine brush helps pick up tiny particles.
Uh-oh. She is becoming impatient. I better be quick.
Our fourth step. We use scissors to trim near the eyes.
Let's make sure the hair around her eyes aren't irritating her.
She looks fine right now otherwise I would trim her hair just a smidge.
Fifth and final step. Use a regular comb to style the hair.
You can also use a slicker brush as they work great at smoothing the hair.
Bailey has really good behavior.
Thank you for watching and I hope you have great success with your pup.
