OLIVE-BACKED SUNBIRD IN BEAUTIFUL SONG, CEBU, PHILIPPINES

Olive- Backed Sunbird - a common bird in parts of the Philippines.The male is most striking with beautiful iridescent chest colours of blue ranging through to violet. The normal call of this bird is a hight pitched continual tweet - however on this occasion this particular male Olive-Backed breaks into beautiful melodic song. I'm not sure if its due to being territorial or perhaps a mating call.
