Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. I'm going to be talking all things smart casual workwear today
and a summer workwear casual wardrobe. So if you're struggling for what to wear in the morning
when you get up and you're getting dressed for work, maybe you have too much choice,
maybe you just really don't know what items are going to keep you cool but looking chic and also
put together for the workplace and I have you covered. I'll just run through my sort of summer
workwear essentials and then I'll leave a time stamp on the screen. I'm also going to be sharing
lots of different ways that you can pair these items together so you can see that you only need
a few key pieces to make lots of different looks. So that being said, let's get on to today's video
and if you're new, don't forget to like and subscribe. Starting with tops, I would recommend
these three basics. A tank top, especially cotton because they're breathable and they're great for
layering as well. A cotton t-shirt, you could go for a fitted one like I have here which is slightly
elevated with this cutout detail but obviously that's going to be dependent on your workplace.
You might just want to go for a standard nice comfortable cotton tee. Then of course it wouldn't
be a workwear wardrobe without a shirt would it and again I would opt for cotton because it's
breathable. I know in summer maybe you might want to reach for linen but I find that linen does
crease quite a bit and if it's for work I think it looks a little bit more smart and chic if you
have a nice cotton shirt. Then I would add in a waistcoat rather than a blazer in the warmer
months. I just love how chic it looks paired with tailored trousers. I know the waistcoat is having
a moment right now but it is of course a classic piece and I just think they're really nice with
your workwear as well. Moving on to bottoms, I have three pairs, two of which are trousers. I feel like
in summer you just want to be comfortable, have some nice loose trousers which again are mainly
cotton, they're breathable. I have one pair that matches the colour of my waistcoat but I would say
opt for a lighter pair of trousers and then also a darker pair of trousers. These again are a sort
of wide slouchy relaxed long leg pair with a high waist, really comfortable just for wearing every
day. Then added into the mix is a skirt. I actually really love a slip skirt for the workplace. Again
it's really floaty, fluid, breathable, looks really smart and chic because of the beautiful
silky material. So add in a silk skirt or you might want to go maybe for a maxi cotton skirt
or maybe a knee-length pencil skirt just to suit your style and your wardrobe. For outwear I would
opt for a cute cropped jacket because sometimes we just need an extra layer even in summer
and I still think that a cropped jacket if you go for a zip up with a collar still looks quite
corporate. It's that mix between smart and casual and I really love the texture that this one adds
to my summer outfits. I do think that accessories bring an outfit together so I have included a
suggestion of a belt. If you can find yourself a reversible belt then you're quizzing because you
only have the one belt to worry about but you have two in one so I've gone for a black side
and also a brown side that obviously works really well with all the tones that I have on my Workwear
Capsule Wardrobe Braille. In the summer months I think you only really need two pairs of shoes for
your workwear wardrobe. Number one is a pair of loafers or mules or ballet flats. I have a neutral
pair here and then I've gone for a black pair of sandals. You can't go wrong with sandals. If you
can have an open toe in the office get yourself a nice comfortable flat leather pair like this
that you can walk to the office in, wear all day or you might want to go for a heeled pair if you
want to be slightly more dressy for the workplace but just a pair of sandals and a pair of loafers
ballet flats. That's all I really think that you need in your summer capsule wardrobe. I've opted
for a neutral colour that will work with everything on my rail, a bag that you could fit a laptop in,
your iPad or your essentials. This also has some detachable straps so you can wear it across the
body, on your shoulder or hold it like this. So just a multi-functional everyday handbag, really
nice quality as well that's just going to up-level all of your outfits. Now you know the items that
you need to create chic everyday smart casual outfits all summer long for your workwear wardrobe.
Let's get in to some outfit combinations styling all of these pieces.
In the workplace you don't need to have loads of outfit options, you just need a few key pieces
that all work together in harmony. So I would say when you're picking out the items for your
workwear capsule wardrobe try and stick to no more than sort of three or four colours and tones
to make sure like I have here on my rail that they all work together so you can wear every single
piece with each other and it's also handy as well to take a little mirror picture of your outfit
each day so you can store these in your own phone of yourself obviously you don't have to share them
that you can see what you're going to wear and when you want to wear it. If you enjoyed this
