We must agree that this drama, Captivating the King, is truly captivating. What a captivating cast and storyline. It's sad we only have two episodes left. As the drama is wrapping up, everyone is showing their cards and games. The principal director has finally decided to kill the king to save his hide. This proves that it wasn't about enthroning the king because he's his relative, but because of the power we'll weigh as the king's uncle. Finally, Mong Wu and the king are on the same side. Mong Wu pledging to be by his side until this storm passes was heartwarming and endearing. However, it looks like the principal director still has some tricks up his sleeve. As the Cheng's spy, he sent someone ahead of the interrogation to Qing. It looks like the emperor will ask to play baduk with Mong Wu. This could be an obstacle the king and Mong Wu will have to overcome. What's more, court lady Dong decided to give the king the kiss of death at the end of the episode. I believe the king and Mong Wu were aware of the principal director's plans to eliminate the king. If you recall, the physician told the king that the poison that killed the late king wasn't found on the utensils he used, but on his robe. Moreover, the king is so enamored with Mong Wu that he wouldn't kiss someone else. This will serve as evidence against court lady Dong and the principal director. He can be seen being interrogated in the preview for the next episode. The king finally opened up to Mong Wu about the late king's last order. The king is trying to fulfill the king's last words by exposing those who harmed him and enthroning the crown prince as king. In the preview, the king's mother can be seen afraid that interrogating the principal director would hurt the king. I think she should be worried for herself as she had a hand in the late king's death. I'm yet to figure Myung Ha out. He decided to join hands with the principal director and the man who led his father to his death. This stems from his distrust of Mong Wu and fears that he and the crown prince could be wrongfully implicated. However, I have a feeling that he is working with Mong Wu and the king. He's the only relative of the crown prince. It'd be devastating for him to go down with criminals. Hyun Bo's days of cunniness are numbered. I can't wait for him to get his comeuppance for causing his sister's death. I can't get enough of the romance between the king and Hee Soo. When he called her his woman, I swooned. The king is going on an all-out war, and this won't be without dangers to his well-being and Mong Wu's. My fingers are crossed for a happy ending, where he marries Hee Soo, gets justice for his brother, and Hee Soo sees her father again. I hope he remains king until the crown prince comes of age.
