ALBANIA IS THE NEW CROATIA!!

In this episode I'm in Albania, specifically the Albanian Riviera which sits along the country's Ionian coast, just across from Corfu. Albania has become really popular in recent years, it's been dubbed the "Maldives of Euope" and more international visitors are choosing it as there summer vacation destination, so I'm finally here to see it for myself! I explore seaside towns like Himare and Ksamil, and check out some of the most famous beaches like Gjipe beach and Aquarium bay, I then make my way to central Albanian to explore the Ottoman era town of Berat with its beautiful hilltop castle neighbourhood. Along the way I meet the locals who share their incredible Albanian cuisine with me, and I visit a local winery to taste the delicious Albanian wines, before ending my time at Butrint National Archaeological Park which has some of the most amazing Greco Roman ruins in the mediterranean!! I think Albanian may take some of Croatia's crown as the jewel of the Balkan countries, it's a breathtakingly beautiful country!
