Investigation begins after Essex explosion injures firefighters

The Chief Fire Officer of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service has given an update after a major explosion and fire at an industrial unit near East Hanningfield.

Twenty firefighters were taken to hospital and several fire service vehicles were destroyed as crews battled the blaze.

An investigation into the cause is now under way.
