Antique Shopping in England 🇬🇧 | Hidden Treasures in the Cotswolds

Good morning. I am out here in Chipping Norton, England and we are going to Station Mill Antiques. Now my mom and dad have been here before and they love it and so they said you've got to come too. Mom's already inside. Didn't have any time for the intro video so of course you know the drill. I'm going to take you with me. I hope you're sitting back relaxed. You've got your coffee and let's get in there. Look at that French watering can. 63 pounds. Look at these. Six pounds on these inkwell bottles. They are heavy. Eight pounds, six pounds. These are heavy. I like them but they're heavy. The inkwells, yeah. I'm trying to think about... Not too heavy. They're not too heavy. All right, let's hold them and then we'll see. Okay, I know. Well, I'm not sure yet. I don't want them to wrap anything, you know. You know what you want until you say you want eight pounds each. Well, this one's six pounds and this one's eight pounds. Oh my gosh, look at this pot right here, you guys. Oh my god. Well, 185 pounds. No way. 24 pounds. God. That'll definitely break, guys. I'm really sad. It'll 100% break. This is so beautiful. It's so thin, this type of stoneware that's like French pottery. It's not like, you know, some of the other pottery that we get. I love that. Put these back. I'm holding it because it's like, is there a way that I can ship it? Double box it. A lot of French things, which is so fun. Oh my gosh, you guys. Look at the set. The jars. This definitely goes with that. And the second one is 32 pounds. Oh my god. I need them. This is like devastating. So, you guys, I have two huge suitcases empty that I'm going to fill with stuff, but there's no way this pottery will make it with the way that those airline guys treat your luggage. Let's put this back here. French coffee bowl. That's nice. This one's light. It already has a chip. It's like I need sturdier things. I'm gonna figure this out. French bowl is cute. I'm so mad. I already want these like three pots, but I'm like, I can't get them. Unless I figure out a shipping somewhere here. Somewhere where I can just get boxes and just pack them myself with bubbles and then ship them to myself. Yeah, ship. If it's 100 quid, what do you care? They gotta be worth it. It's more so like weird, but look over here. Yeah, they are worth it. Oh, they're small. But they're these salt glazed, so it's like they have to be packed nicely. Well, yeah, popcorn and... I double box popcorn. I would put that in like a 8x8 box and then I would put it in a 10x10 box. Size matters. Weight matters. Yeah. Box them individually and ship them back to myself. What you want is a container, like a plastic container with a screw on lid or a snap on lid and then just fill that up and then ship it. Because then the container is like, the container is solid. Yeah. Waterproof solid container. I need to fill it with popcorn and bubble wrap. Yeah. I mean, just, you know, drop it a couple of times. Well, the thing is they'll crack if it's salty. That's not an issue. Okay. But then you gotta mail it. I know. I just need to better understand the shipping here. Because I don't so much. All right. Here's more of those little ink pots. These ones have the pour on them, which I like. A trio. Not yet. What's the price on these? Oh, $22. Wait. Trio $22 for all of them? These stoneware jars. Look at these little green. Love these. These are 12 pounds. I'm so scared stuff's going to break. Pottery wise. Oh my gosh. Look at this one. 39 pounds. Copper pots. All right. And there's apparently an upstairs as well. So let's finish this right side. Oh, look at this one. 68 pounds on that. I could get so much pottery right now. It's insane. I just found like French stonewares with the handles and the pours. I'm so frustrated. Mom, why would you bring me here? Oh, I gotta get those. The bottles. Remember any of the marmalade jars. Let me know if you see them. This one's cute. I love this place. Okay. I like them, but they feel priced high. That's a cute one. And there's an upstairs. Wow. Look at all the copper. 79 pounds. Look at this one. Goodness me. 79 pounds. 78 pounds. And then the pan. Copper jam pan. 135 pounds. Look at all these. It screws on and it has this wonderful little notch. Wow. 75 pounds. Pearsons of Chesterfield. With the stopper. And there's the marking. There's another one in the darker brown. And then this little one. Hitchman and Co. Chipping Norton. 38 pounds. 44 pounds, I think. Is that 44? Yeah. 44 pounds on the brass kettle. Another lovely pot. 68 pounds for this French one. One hanging on the wall. 78 pounds. So the place in general is priced pretty high, which we figured so. It's one of the more like higher end antique shops, but it's still fun to just come and look at everything. Mom's inquiring about the flags. Let's go look. So the flags are not for sale, you don't think? I don't think they are, but I'll check. Okay. Thank you. He's going to check for you to see if they are for sale. Yeah. Guys, the French jugs everywhere. Everywhere. And I can't bring them to you. I'm depressed. I said it's only the first day. There's probably more that we, I mean, the days we're going to Ely. I think Ely ships. You can bring stuff there and have them ship it All right. Oh my gosh. Oh my God. Is this one of those clocks? Stop right now. They painted it. It's a nineties one. It says it works. No way. Beautiful picture there. 150 pounds. There's a wood duck way up here. Let's see how much she is. Wow. 55 pounds. Wow. That flip clock is great. Love those. Lovely one here. These pots are everywhere here. It's crazy. And you guys, you know, the lengths that I go to find them in the States. All right. Upstairs we go. And remember this is day two. So we always know where this place is. If for some reason I say, Hey, you know what? I got a lot more space. We can come back to this place. Look at these single flower pots, 26 pounds. These are nice and small. They put a little wobbly candle in it. Those are so cute. I can easily pack these. Mind your head. All right. So 26 pots for the it's expensive. I look more pots guys. Look at this. So I'm like squatting as I'm back here. This one's only 24 pounds, 45 pounds. And look at the lid on this one. Beautiful. The flowers. Wooden bottle, not for sale. Okay. 28 pounds on this one. It's heavy. Prices are still a little high. I'll say it's on book. Not for sale. Okay. I just saw a set of three pots over there, but they were like 29 pounds. Six is not bad for that. Look at this. Beautiful. White banded jug with blue detail trim. That's heavy. This little pot is adorable. No price. St. John's hospital. Big old wicker laundry basket. 220 pounds. Wow. Beautiful. All my bags in my spare. Look at that pot. Yeah. Lovely. Another one. Victorian stoneware. 68 pounds. Now you know why the pots that I sell in my shop go so fast. Because when I find them in the States, it's very hard to find them. Another beautiful one. 45 pounds. Cute little pot. 15 pounds. So I'll put how much this is in dollars on the screen. But in my head here right now, I'm thinking that's around $20, 21, which is a lot for a little pot. Because again, I don't have any self-service to check the conversion. I'm not a math savvy person, guys. It's apparently a dollar. One pound is $1.30 conversion. Yeah. That one down there, six pounds. I am having so much fun right now shopping in the UK, and I am so glad that you're with me. Vintage rugs, which look great. Let's look at the price on these rugs here from what we're used to seeing. 145 pounds. That's actually kind of cheaper, I guess. So that'd be 185, something like that. So pretty spot on on the rugs. This is a very nice half stool. Three-legged stool, 95 pounds. I like the flat back because you can just sit it right against the wall. 25 pounds on this amber bottle that says poison. Wow, just look at this place. This is wonderful. Oh my gosh, look at those two pots right there. 75 pounds on that one. I just love these so much. 65 pounds. How cool is this one with the lid? It almost looks like it's two lids. It's just a really big lid. Another French jar, 125 pounds. Oh my god. French soupiere, 56 pounds. Probably the same for the one in the back. Wow, look at this big one. 75 pounds on that. That's actually not bad considering the size. So even if you round it up and said 75 pounds is $100, like $100 for this is still a great price. I can barely read that. Trying to put my phone away. Doesn't want to go in the pocket. 45 pounds on this one. You see what I mean? The prices are definitely high, but amazing stuff. That's really neat. Japanese go board. Look at this, 42 pounds on that. Look at these little shoes with the zips. Mom's been up here, but 24 pounds on that picture. Look at this picture. Look at this pot with the lid. I'm going to guess like 45 pounds, 26 pounds. God, these prices are not bad. I just can't get anything back in my suitcases like that. This Victorian mold. And we are going to go to some car booths and stuff. So I'm kind of not going crazy buying anything because I'm seeing what's out here, what the prices are. And then depending on other places that I go on my trip, we'll see what else we can find. Look at these. Oh my gosh. They're so heavy. Wow. Those were 165 pounds for the pair. There's another little pot over here. 12 pounds. Okay. We're going to get this 12 pounds. Hey, that's easy peasy. We can do that. And these little ones with the cork are six pounds. Mom showed me a small bottle that was six pounds, but they didn't have the cork. Bottle and stopper. I could probably sell these maybe as like a set of three, but if they're six pounds each, let's say that means I'm spending $18. Wait. So if they're six pounds each, that's 18 pounds to 25 us dollars for all three of these, which I feel like is a lot 55 pounds on that. Look at these pots. You guys. Wow. 49 pounds, lots and lots of great China. There's another beautiful piece up here. This is, it's a cheese dome. 24 pounds. Try and show you. I can't really show you. It's this sitting on top of a little wooden bowl. Wow. West Germany, 14 pounds. That's not bad. 28 pounds. I got this big brass piece down here. A little toggle handles. 79 pounds. Okay. We're going to go back downstairs. I am going to get this pop because it's only 12 pounds, which again, if that's like $15, not a deal. What's up? I really, really wished I could get all of the French confit pots, jugs. I mean, there was just so much that I wanted to pack up and take home. But my current situation right now is I have two bags that I can check and you know how those luggage handlers are. They will be throwing my stuff and shattering it. And I can't bear to do that right now with those pots, but I know where everything is. So I'm thinking somehow in the future, I'm going to try to set up a shipping situation where I can box stuff here in England and then ship it back to myself and just wait. So for now, you saw me get the little French pot and that was only 12 pounds. So that's a good price. And I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or if I'm going to sell it, but we'll see what else I can find on the rest of my trip here.
