Trump met privately with the families of Sgt. Angel Rampersad of New York, 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan of Hawaii, Pvt. Isabella Gonzales of Texas and Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton of North Carolina, calling the fallen troops ""great heroes.""

The solemn homecoming came as the president intensified his rhetoric toward Iran following the attacks. In a post on Truth Social, Trump warned that every American service member killed by Iran would be met with overwhelming retaliation, writing that Tehran would ""pay many times over.""
Trump also suggested military operations could expand further, saying Iran's underground Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility remains a potential target.
""That's where the action is, and we'll be hitting that area probably pretty soon,"" Trump said Tuesday.
