Local engineer creates medical device inspired by personal experience

Alex Nichols, an engineering student at Kettering University, has developed a full-body compression wrap to support people with hypermobility conditions such as hEDS, POTS, and MCAS. Inspired by his girlfriend's chronic pain and fatigue, Alex has used an iterative design process to create a tool that improves daily mobility and reduces fatigue for those suffering from these disorders.
