If you have a tummy like me, you can look like this or look like this. You see the problem isn't your
tummy or anywhere you carry weight but how you work with it. After teaching thousands of women
over the years, today let me show you the ultimate guide of the top 10 most slimming outfits and none
of this involves shapewear. Stay with me till the end. The last one is my favorite. Everybody already
owns these pieces but you just need to know how to wear it a little differently. Everything I'm
is linked down below and download my free ebook, the top 10 petite essentials, link in description.
Every woman needs to have at least one matching set. These are my go-to when I don't know what
to wear. The key to look for the slimming ones is the top need to make sure it's not too tight
and the bottom doesn't cling. You can go with any color. Black is classic but beige is chic.
This one is a skort, more flattering and more slimming because there are shorts underneath
and you have a skirt on top of it. The a-line shape perfectly covers your stomach. The top you
don't even need to tuck because it's a matching set. It already elongates your legs. The waist
trick. If you've been watching me for a while, you know I don't have much of a natural waist
definition but I make it look like I do. Top is a little fitted but the bottom I paired with
wide leg pants. That gives me that hourglass illusion. Plus, always look for wide leg pants
with pleats in the front. If you have more weight in your midsection, the pleats make sure the pants
are not clingy to your stomach. These are the amazon pants I got. I have these in five different
colors. High-waisted, it sits a little higher than the natural waist. That's absolutely key
to give you that hourglass shape. 28 inch insane. So without alteration, I can wear them with heels
or flat shoes. If you want your bottom to look more slender, go with brighter color top and darker
color bottom. The one-piece wonder. I don't have to tell you how slimming a lot of black dress is
but the key is to find the right silhouette. The most forgiving shape is always something like this
that goes straight up and down with no restriction at any part of your body. But here's the thing,
it doesn't naturally give you waist definition. So what you want to do is to grab one of those
tailor rings I found on amazon and put it outside of your dress and tie inside. Looks like a design
that comes with it. It creates ruching around your stomach, makes sure it's not clingy to your body
but at the same time it adds a touch of design to the dress or you can just top it over with a
cardigan or even a button-down shirt tied in the front. Numerous ways you can style a little black
dress. The unexpected. Who would have thought barrel pants can be one of the best options?
If you want to look more slender, when barrel first came out, I have to say I wasn't a big fan and I
see a lot of you commented below the shape of the pants just look a little funny. But if you find
the right pair and the right length, these are from Spanx, petite size, 26 inch inseam, everything
falls into place. Because barrel do not cling, it creates a lot of space around your tummy, your
buttocks, and your thighs. Those are the places that typically make us feel self-conscious. A barrel
is so spacious, nobody will ever notice where you carry weight. Pair them with a slightly fitted top.
This is Uniqlo bra top and it doesn't need to be tucked in because it's a crop length. Wear the
right shoes. For petite women, I highly recommend you wear minimalist nude color shoes. These are
Tiki sandals. One thing I hope you're noticing throughout this video is none of this is about
changing your body. When you feel comfortable in your own skin, instead of criticizing yourself,
but learn how to work with your body, that mindset shift changes everything. Speaking of mindset
shift, I mentioned in my recent life update video, I've started working with therapists and they
really help me gain new perspectives on the midlife crisis I've been dealing with. I found
therapists through BetterHelp. Let me first thank them for sponsoring today's video. Between
perimenopause, health issues, work pressure, and balancing family life, I'm dealing with a lot.
Therapy sessions have been a huge help. I haven't had a therapist session since the pandemic,
so I really didn't know where to start. BetterHelp makes starting therapy so much easier. I just
needed to take a quiz, answer several questions, and within a couple days, I was matched with a
licensed therapist. I actually switched therapists. The first one was great, but just
not exactly my style. The second one was spot on. We hit it off right away. And that's another thing
I like about BetterHelp. Switching is so easy at no extra cost. If you're going through a challenging
season yourself, or maybe you just need someone to talk to, go to the link in my description box,
or go to the link on the screen. You can get 10% off your first month.
The instant polished outfit. What I love about this outfit, if you look at all the pieces
individually, the blazer, straight leg jeans, they're all very simple, and they're basics,
but when you put them together in this combination, it creates such clean lines,
and that's what makes it look slimming. And it works, no matter what size you are.
You could be a plus size and apply the same formula. Blazers are the most underrated
pieces for slimming because whenever we're thinking about looking more slender, we think
about the places we focus on, our tummy, our hips, our thighs. But when you add structure to your top
half, blazer is a perfectly structured piece because it gives you that shoulder line. All of
a sudden, it makes everything else look smaller. And that's the secret to make you look slender
without having to think about making your waist smaller, without having to hide anything.
If you find this helpful, this is barely scratching the surface of what I teach inside
Petit Dressing Club. It's only $29 a month, and you can cancel anytime. You can immediately get
access to my Petit Style Masterclass, and I was selling the course itself for $297 before,
because it's not just tips and tricks, it's an entire system I developed in the last 10 years
based on styling myself and Petit models of all kinds of body shapes for my own clothing line.
We start from understanding your body shape to set the foundation straight. And from there,
we take deep dive how to optimize your body proportion. And after that, we go into each and
every Petit body shapes. Whether you are Petit with large bust, Petit plus size, Petit pear shape,
this is the most detailed body shape masterclass that you will ever find. Plus, it's specifically
for women 5'4 and under. The best part, not only you're going to have this entire system,
but also you have access to me. Twice a month, we're going to do two live calls where all my
members bring their questions about their closet, their shape, whatever pieces they're not sure
about in their closet. And they come on a live call with me, and we talk about it on the Zoom
call. And all of their questions are solved on the spot. Individualized a device like this would
cost you hundreds of dollars elsewhere, but right now it's all part of the club. So don't wait,
join today. I will see you inside the club.
The summer formula. If you don't have a longer length A-line skirt yet, you need to get one.
This one is from Quinn's. I love how in the front, it's a flat panel, but in the back,
those are the hidden elastic waistband. So it's super comfortable and it stretches a ton.
What I love about it, because it flares out, and in this case, I also love how it's a maxi lens.
I mean, it's a midi lens on the model, but on a 5'2 person, it becomes a perfect maxi lens,
but that's what I'm looking for because it elongates. Whenever you look longer,
you immediately also look leaner. Plus, A-line skirt at this length carries a lot of volume.
Don't be scared by that. It actually works for you because your bottom now is wider,
so that in turn makes your waist look smaller. And that's how you create that hourglass illusion.
You do make sure your top is not too wide. In this case, I'm pairing it with a Quinn's halter
top that fits closer to the body. Together, they give you a longer and leaner shape from top to
bottom. Legs for days. This is my go-to outfit whenever I want to make my legs look mile long.
And for those of you who's been watching me for a while, I actually have extra short legs,
shorter than most other 5'2 petite women. But this is the kind of pants that immediately
make your legs look three inches longer, even without any heels. Because first of all,
high-waisted, and second of all, it drapes so beautifully. And that's another thing about
slimming bottoms. Fabrics is a big part of it. These are from Express, a very affordable version
of the Creep pants from Aritzia. I have the Aritzia pants as well, but these are a fraction
of the price. But these drape so beautifully and it doesn't cling. It's not flimsy. I'm wearing
the short length, 28-inch inseam, and I can go with or without heels.
The peplum. Peplum is a huge trend right now. That's the reason you're going to see them
everywhere. And you're also going to see them this fall and winter as well. But what I love
them is because they give you a very subtle waist definition. If you don't have much of
a natural waist like myself, peplum is a heaven sent. You do want to make sure you go with the
length. Because these have an extra piece, a little flared out skirt piece, that's why you
don't want them to be too long. This one is cropped length, I got it from Abercrombie,
and I love to pair them with a longer skirt. A midi or maxi length skirt flares out, that
balances out the shorter length of the top and gives you the best body proportion. None of these
pieces are clingy and that's the reason they're super slimming. The easiest outfit of all. On the
days when I just want to leave the door in like five minutes, this is the outfit I would grab.
Because it's a one piece, it's already done for you. You don't have to worry about what top goes
with what bottom. I actually found this on Amazon. I love how this is a romper, but it doesn't look
too casual because the top is like a polo shirt without sleeves. The colors are what makes it look
more preppy and not frumpy. I also love elastic waist, so it stretches quite a bit. If you carry
more weight in the midsection like myself, this is very comfortable. Typically, I don't wear a lot
of shorts because shorts tend to make my legs look even shorter, but because this is a one piece,
it creates a continuous silhouette. That's why they're also very leg elongating.
The outfit I saved for last. I'm so glad you're staying for this part of the video
because I'm going to show you one outfit you probably already have everything in your closet,
but you just didn't know you could wear them in this combination. First of all, I want to show you
the under layer. I'm wearing a fitted top. This one is from Banana Republic Factory. It's a wider
neckline that's super slimming, especially for those of you who's got a bigger chest. And I'm
pairing it with a shorter skirt. This is also scored. I got it from Abercrombie. The top and
bottom is the same slimming black, but watch next. What you want to do next is to add a pair of sheer
tights. You're going to be surprised how much difference these subtle sheer tights are going
to make. It makes your outfit look sexier and at the same time, make your legs look more slender.
But the last is the most important step. You want to top it over with a black blazer. So now the
black blazer is covering your arms. You see what it does? This outfit is not all of a sudden
completely focused on your legs. Not only this is slimming, but also super leg elongating. Wow,
congratulations. I'm so glad you watched the entire video. My channel is All Things Petite.
