Five Basic Strokes：Unlock 20+ Chinese Characters

Chinese is not a phonetic language.
It is a language based on meaning and visual symbols.
The basic elements of Chinese characters are strokes.
Chinese has four levels:
Strokes → Components (Radicals) → Characters → Words
Today, we will start with the 5 most basic strokes:
横 (héng) — horizontal stroke
豎 (shù) — vertical stroke
撇 (piě) — left-falling stroke
捺 (nà) — right-falling stroke
點 (diǎn) — dot
Once you know these five strokes, you can already write more than 20 Chinese characters!
