Tropical Storm Bertha forms off Gulf Coast

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has upgraded the tropical depression hitting the Gulf Coast to Tropical Storm Bertha after wind speeds reached 39 mph. The storm is expected to bring significant impacts, including heavy rain and storm surges, to the southernmost regions of Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana over the next 24 to 72 hours.
