Andrey Rublev vs Luciano Darderi Title Battle 🏆 | Bastad 2026

Both very popular, well he set it up well, Dardy, but just couldn't find the lob. Outstanding hitting from the top seed. He's finding his touch early on, Dardy. Oh, did well to get a forehand on that at all, Dardy. He read it very early, didn't he? Roublev was on his way. That's beautifully and coolly done. Slid over the net, didn't it? That Dardy slice. Look at a second and again the racket of Dardy goes flying. He's not happy out there. He's going to take a curve violation for this. It just seems like one of those days where he's just got up on the wrong side of the bed here. And that is unfortunate. Controls himself this time rather than taking it out on his racket. He's ripped up his shirt. Luciani, Dardy, a man on edge. And he's lost a second set of this year's tournament. And every tennis player out watching, whether they play club, national, international, etc. You'll know sometimes you step on court. To hang in or Roublev to start running away with this final. He's double faulted again, this time wide. And it's a gift for Andrei Roublev to double fault some Luciani Dardy in that one game. I'll try it again. He says this time I will make it. It's better. Couldn't rush it. Back behind. Well, the crowd reacting. A massive point for Luciani Dardy to win. What he's got on the day. And that is huge from Andrei Roublev. Keeps hold of the momentum. That's well watched. Didn't want to let it bounce. Got to get the timing just right. Four A's forward now for Roublev. 12, I should say. 11.1. Quick game from Andrei Roublev. Just what the top seed would have wanted there. He's going to try. Backhand steered up the line. Getting closer. No obvious signs of nerves here. Two more championship points. Roublev rolls to the title. Andrei now a twice champion here in Borstad. First on clay since Madrid in 2024. A very solid final performance, wasn't it, from the top seed. He gets past an on edge Luciani Dardy in straight.
