In this video Mr.Bernard Smith from In Time Percussion will demonstrate How To Do An Amazing Snare Drum Stick Trick called The Windmill. This stick trick has been done for years but was made popular by BYOS founder Ralph Nader and Harvey Thompson.

Although this is a popular snare drum stick trick, any drummer can use this, no matter what drum that they play. You can use it for your drumline or even during your snare drum solo. A lot of music teachers do not allow their student to do stick tricks if the student doesn't have a solid foundation of playing. Remember, stick tricks are secondary.

This particular stick trick isn't as popular in DCI Drumming as it is in HBCU styled drumming. The flash of this stick trick is what the general crowd who knows nothing about drumming like to see.
