'He controls everything!' - Marc Cucurella argues World Cup Golden Ball winner Rodri deserves award

For us it's very important. I think sometimes it's not about just scoring or assisting. I think he controls everything. He organizes the team. He decides when we press. He decides when we attack. And for us it's very important. Every time we are under pressure he gives us a chance to give him the ball. He never loses the ball and I think he deserves this trophy because he plays an amazing tournament. Yeah it's unbelievable. I think since the first day we arrived here we try to play our football, our style. I think we start a little bit maybe sloppy the first games but step by step we are improving. We are playing and I think these last two games we play an amazing football. We dominate both games. We create a lot of chances. We control the game. We concede nothing. So I think we play an amazing football. We deserve this trophy. We have been doing an amazing job throughout the tournament. Not only the defenders but also the goalkeeper. I think it's a job for everyone. How Arzabal pressed today. How the media came to win the second games. In the end it's a sacrifice for everyone. We attack together. We defend together. And I think this is one of the keys of this team.
