Atlanta hosting matches and of course the FIFA Fan Fest and the historic event you can't end in
Atlanta without a big party. Fox 5's Tara Javor is live from Piedmont Park where the celebration
and soccer just wrapped up a couple of hours ago but a lot of good energy out there Tara.
Eric absolutely there was thousands of people here of course to watch that final match and it
definitely was a party here at Piedmont Park from soccer to live music starring Ludacris.
The World Cup is officially over but it couldn't end without a party at Piedmont Park. We just
wanted to support Atlanta being able to be a host city for FIFA knowing this is like almost a
one-in-a-lifetime theme. We said let's come out here and celebrate for the last little big day.
I came all the way from Orlando we don't have anything like this back where I'm from.
It's a big turnout especially with the rain you know I'm surprised. Spain World Cup champions.
The fans we spoke to say it's been an experience of a lifetime to live in a host
city for the World Cup. I think it's pretty awesome you know I think Atlanta has a amazing
atmosphere I don't know I feel like you don't really get it everywhere else. And it's really
amazing to see Atlanta get involved with soccer because everywhere I go before the World Cup
people don't really talk about soccer a lot so I feel like the World Cup has really boosted
soccer's like boosted its popularity a lot. People from all over the world came to Atlanta
to watch soccer and experience the city. Yeah I like it personally it's just a different vibe
seeing different people different cultures so I do enjoy that. Celebration of soccer and sound
definitely a good way to end the World Cup excitement. People from all over the world
coming together I think it really shows what we can do we all come together as like just one world.
And Eric I think it's safe to say a lot of people will definitely miss the energy that
the World Cup brought here to Atlanta. Reporting live from Piedmont Park, Tara Jabour, Fox 5 News.
Yeah truly a once-in-a-lifetime type of event and energy thanks so much.
