Welcome back to the channel! Today, I'm excited to introduce an incredible bamboo house project from Tieu Diep. In this video, you'll watch a young man who left everything behind to build his own bamboo stilt house and self-sufficient farm beside a steep cliff and a deep forest stream. Every part of this project is built entirely by hand using natural bamboo and locally available materials.
The entire house is constructed mainly from bamboo, including the columns, floor, walls, and roof frame. Built on bamboo stilts beside a rocky cliff, the house stays above the damp ground while offering a peaceful view of the surrounding forest. The roof is covered with palm leaves, creating a traditional design that blends perfectly with nature.
After finishing the bamboo stilt house, he builds a separate bamboo kitchen for everyday cooking. The kitchen features a traditional clay stove with a chimney, allowing smoke to escape efficiently while keeping the cooking area clean and comfortable.
Next, he constructs a duck shelter. Since water constantly seeps from the nearby cliff, making the ground wet and muddy, he raises the duck house above the ground using strong bamboo supports. Once completed, he carries young ducklings into the forest using a shoulder pole and begins raising them on his new farm.
To make the farm even more self-sufficient, he creates a small fish pond beside the cliff. He also builds a bamboo walkway across the pond, making it easier to move around and feed the fish. The pond is stocked with several species of fish, including beautiful red fish that bring life and color to the peaceful surroundings.
One of the most impressive parts of this project is the homemade hydroelectric generator. By harnessing the flowing water from the nearby forest stream, he designs and installs a small water-powered generator to produce electricity for his off-grid home. The generator is built right beside the stream, making full use of this renewable natural resource.
After completing the power system, he expands his living space by building a large elevated bamboo deck connected to the house. The platform stands about four meters above the stream and is supported by thick bamboo columns with stone foundations for extra strength and stability. This spacious deck provides a comfortable place to relax, work, and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
To create an even more beautiful living environment, he decorates the deck with blooming orchids. He also handcrafts a complete set of bamboo furniture, including a dish rack, dining table, chairs, and a beautifully designed bamboo bed. Every piece is carefully measured, carved, and assembled by hand, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Once everything is finished, he prepares meals using fresh ingredients gathered from the surrounding forest. His daily food comes from stream crabs, fish, wild vegetables, and other natural resources found nearby. The result is a peaceful, self-sufficient lifestyle that embraces nature while offering freedom from the pressures of modern life.
