Good morning my babies. I have just been back from a two-month trip and of course I've left
my babies out in the cold. They've had a few days of frost and tomorrow, the whole week just about,
we will be experiencing frost again. So I don't know how they fared. These plants here that
you're seeing at the moment, I have placed near the door just so they can be protected from the
frost while I'm away. I just want to see how they fared and so far everything looks okay. Look how
gorgeous that is and that one, Ionio, is not dead and I don't expect it to die because I'm back. I'm
gonna look after you but you look like you're gonna need some watering. So this is just a quick
run-through to see if I have any disaster from being away for two months where no one's here to
look after my plants. So no watering, no covering from the frost and I think they're doing marvelous.
This is Echeveria chroma which have died on me a few times in the past and so this year or this
season, winter here in Australia, it's July 17, 2026 by the way, so forecast today was I think
one degree or yeah I think it's one degree Friday and so we didn't have any frost but tomorrow
zero we are going to have frost but the successive days will be all frosty as well
and this one is the crested, I think you are fasciculata, I forgot now, of Fimbriata,
sorry, Echeveria fimbriata. That is Fimbriata fasciculata, it is too. I still know my plants.
Now this one I try and protect it from the frost as well but I got nowhere to put it so I put it
here where they are exposed to morning sun first thing in the morning and also this I think Orana,
I don't want you to die, so the fillies are sensitive to the frost as well so they need
to be protected and also this pot of different Echeverias and I think there's a couple,
Dersetum there or Graptopetalum. Graptopetalum is actually frost hardy which is this one,
the variegated one, but the rest of them can be sensitive to the frost like this
ruby blush. The hairy ones, they might be hairy and you think they've got a bit of protection
having a jumper from the frost but they still suffer from the frost. I even put a plastic
covering on this area here to protect some of the plants like my Atlantis. Look at you! So now
they are dormant, they are sleepy because it's cold but they are frost hardy to a certain degree
but if I take them inside or bring them inside and grow them under the grow light this thing
will continue to grow and you can see some here, this one, Peridot, this has died on me last year
so I thought this year I better protect it so now it has grown beautifully. Look at the gorgeous
color and another frosty, Pulbinata, ruby blush which is looking so gorgeous with those red tips
and in summer that can still look become redder but now I'm happy for it to be that color and then
my Senecio variegated, look how beautiful that is, that's actually frosty or frost hardy to a
certain degree but even though it is I still want to protect it and put it here so it doesn't suffer
from the frost. What happened to you? You're supposed to be Lavender Pebbles hybrid, this is
my hybrid now and it's supposed to color up and it's not coloring up, I don't know what happened
to you but this one here is looking so gorgeous, what is your name? I forgot your name, someone took
your label away so I don't know where it went but anyway the birds come here and take that away and
of course this one, this snowball, orange snowball is just gorgeous, they are frost hardy so I'm not
worried about them like most of the plants that are here but what I'm worried about is, should I say
are the variegated thin leaf Echeverias which are just so gorgeous still, so this is
Vira, you are still looking so pretty, pink Vira variegated, gorgeous, look I put it there just so
it can be covered by the 50% UV shade of course and also all these plants around it even though
they're hanging all around if you can see, they sort of provide protection, well certain amount
of protection for these areas here, these plants that are being grown. Now this variegated Rahoya
which was my last plant hole or part of my last plant hole has now got some rotted leaves which
could still be part of, hang on I just need to remove the other one, I need two hands,
actually looks a lot better so this one is not growing yet because they are dormant when it's
cold. Now there's a few plants now that I would like to grow fast so I'm going to be bringing a
lot of them indoors as well and of course grow them under the grow light but the rest like this
oh gorgeous Otona capensis variegata, look, look how much I've got now, I've actually propagated
them once before I left, that's late autumn is when I took some cuttings and planted them in
and they are growing, look how beautiful that is and of course I got another one over there so I'm
head over there right now, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no, what happened here, oh okay, some cats
has been getting in here, dug up all my plants, oh pink crystal, oh and PVN leaves, oh no,
oh my goodness, oh here, oh I found a little baby PVN, oh okay, there you go crystal, oh
that's been dug up, okay, I might have some cat poop or something here, I don't know,
anyway, no cat poop but well, is that a cat or that looks too much dirt for another plant here,
what are you, oh no, oh no, poor baby, anyway, I think it might be the birds, would there be some
worms here, would they be digging it up, well we will see, okay and there's another one,
is there another plant there, I don't know, I can't remember now, anywho, this is what happens
when you're away for two months and so I went gold digging and unfortunately there wasn't any gold
where I went because, long story, all I got was ticks and the grass was overgrown and a lot, oh
that's it, worms, maybe the birds did that, is it the birds, the birds, birds, birds, okay,
they were digging up for worms, anyway, the grass was really tall so I could not access the area
where I'm supposed to be digging for gold, so anywho, this is not an update on the gold digging
but an update on how my plants fared while I'm away, I mean it's only two months, come on,
it's not that long, I haven't left you that long, so anyway, there's a lot of weeds that needs to be
chopped, chopped, chopped or removed but overall it looks very good, isn't it, I'm just checking
to see if there's any dead plants, no, I can't see any dead plants, I mean dry leaves, I wouldn't say
dead but look how gorgeous you are Mediva and this Beyonce, you are beyond compare right now
because I'm just comparing you with that Beyonce at the back there that has reverted to heart's
delight and it is looking delightful so I hold no hope for this becoming variegated again like
the variegated Beyonce that I'm going to show you later on, I don't know what that looks like
yet but this one, I've done an arrangement of this a few months ago, I don't know, three,
four months ago, it would be five months ago now, I can't remember, anyway, it is looking beautiful
this Sedum Hernandesi or green turtle eggs and of course the Anacamseros is starting to color up as
well but in here the difference of the color, this one is more out and that one is more in,
you can see that, so it is sort of greener, the heart's delight and this one that's out
more into the sun or getting more light is much redder, this afterglow is not that frost hardy
so minus four if we do get that, that will die but I place it in here where it's protected and
so far it's doing well so as the Briar Rose, well at least it's still alive, that used to be
thicker before but now that's all I've got left and I can still grow them thicker but for now
I am just going through to see if any of my babies have died, okay, another Chroma in here that looks
so gorgeous and everything's coloring up nicely in winter even this Shangri-La and of course my
favorite Sedum Clavatum, well one of my favorites anyway, so variegated, oh yes, hang on, I have to
find something, oh this one too, the Tinker Bell is looking really gorgeous and all down here, aha,
these are seeds that I scattered, this is from a variegated one and it doesn't need to be in there,
I need to expose it somewhere where it can grow, hang on, that's a good spot for it I think,
put another one, there you go, so they can go there where they'll be slowly exposed and even
if I expose them straight away they will still be okay but this pretty one, this is Celestia,
that one is a little bit pale, that should be much redder, like the Beyonce here, oh my goodness,
they look so gorgeous, okay, can I take you out there or should I leave you there, three of them,
the Tres Marias, look at that, oh, this one, variegated minima, this is my original plant
that's been chewed up, I think, are they original plant, I can't remember now, I think this is
cuttings that I've taken and the snail and the slug has taken a liking to it, oh no, hang on,
wait a minute, wait a minute Mr. Postman, look, look what you've done to my Pachyveria joselens,
is that joselens joy, I think joselens joy, it's not so joyful anymore, look, that's rotted and
of course I think they're being eaten by something because there's holes everywhere
and that's what happens, they can get chomped up and also die, so that really needs emergency,
emergency, we have to bring you inside and let you grow inside, for one the snails can't get to you
and for another it's warmer which is what it likes, it doesn't like to be cold, this plant,
yes, my cubic frost variegated, grown from a leaf and look how big it's growing now, look,
my thumb, well it's much bigger than my thumb and do you have, no, that's only one, only one
variegated, so I leave you there, so this is, oh, another cubic frost that is sort of variegating,
small one there, oh, I likey, likey, I likey, likey, likey, oh, beautiful, but this one,
I took some cuttings of this one, I just want to see what happens, so my Cotyledon opiculata,
yeah, yeah, yeah, variegata, honestly, I can't remember where I put it because I thought I had
it here somewhere, but it's not here, there's an empty spot there, so I must have taken it out,
but I can't remember, oh, but you and Lisa look so beautiful, still, it's so gorgeous, gorgeous,
look at the colors, and speaking of colors, also my Maria, variegated, crested, that is also
part of my last plant holder, you go, look so beautiful, ah, this Anacamceros is looking so
lovely here, I'm going to take you out because I have an empty spot here that is exposed,
so you can grow here and you'll be fine there, and look at you, what are you,
which is just absolutely gorgeous, and of course, this agate, are you agate, crested, yes, it is,
that is also beautiful, now, this one, I forgot the name, where's your label, never mind, but you
are also beautiful, they're all coloring up, and also, this one, oh, Monstros polylinsiana,
that's that one, and this one is something else, which I have to have a peep of the plant name,
Giselle, how can you, I forget Giselle, every time I go away, I seem to forget what I've got,
so the gerbil moon as well, oh, look at the colors, it's so beautiful, and if I turn behind me,
but before I do that, oh, mule, oh my goodness, that is gorgeous, very delectable, beautiful,
and in this corner, presenting Amestro, look how well they are growing, beautiful, nice and big,
and out in the open, I just need to see my other Amestro that is protected, so the ones that is
protected is not coloring as much, I only saw Amestro, so it's good to put labels, because
I can't really remember all the names, but in here, it's like a firing squad, look,
there, this Frank Reynold, that one is, I don't know, and then that's Lady's Choice, and this one
is Amestro as well, are you Amestro? Yes, look how beautiful, compared to that one, look at that,
so this one is like a variegated one now, so I've given up hope on that one of coloring up,
and I'm just gonna grow Amestro like this, that colors up, and of course, Morgan, because it
shows the name, and this has actually become variegated, so see the color, oh, compared to my
other Morgan, look at this other Morgan here, which is green, I should really take that out,
but I intentionally put it there, just so I can see the difference, okay, see the name Morgan,
that is Morgan, Morgan, the greatest love the world has known, okay, Morgan Beauty,
yes, and look at the difference of the two, compared to the other Morgan I've got over there
as well, so, but anyway, we're gonna leave the Morgans there, and this one, Pomegranate,
something, Crepe Myrtle, oh my goodness, and Dancing Bird, I'm doing a roll call, oh no,
Mealybug, I can see Mealybug on this one, whatever your name is, I forgot, Shamrock,
I need, see, Mealybug, so we have to spray on that one, take it away from Joselyn's joy,
so you don't infect her, now this one is Lemon Lime or something, or Luella, I think this might
be Luella Crested, hang on, let me see, yep, Luella Crested, and there's more cresting there,
and this one is not as frost-hardy as well, but luckily, I think we only had minus two so far,
I've been told, and my Variegated Vanillibus is not very busy, well, I think they're busy,
they're about to bloom as well, so anyway, the front bit, there's a lot more plants to
look at, but then I can't show them all, and of course, this is my arrangement that I've done
in vlog number, I can't remember, a few vlogs away, before I left, it has been to Victoria,
and now it's back here, but look how nice and healthy that looks, we'll compare it side by side,
there you go, so before, and this area now, the sun, just enjoying the sun, look how beautiful
they look, oh, that's Laulensis original, and I can see my hybrid Laulensis over here,
my own plant, they're all actually much more colorful compared to the original mother plant
here, and the rest of the gang are all, well, looks happy anyway, I haven't seen,
well, that one is dead, that's Ebony, but there's still life on the other side of it,
and that's Bradboriana, so gorgeous, nice colors, and speaking of colors, and look at this one,
beautiful, look how nice you are, what is your name? You are not Red Champagne,
this is not Red Champagne, I have to dig up the name somewhere here, but of course,
this one is Derlew, you're not Derlew as well, I think Derlew is this one,
and that one is a 1-2, that's a Romeo, and mix other plants, but anyway, guys,
I think this is just a quick update, just to see if I had any catastrophe, and so far,
not much damage, and look at the peach frost, look how beautiful you are looking,
I can't remember how you look before I left, but they do grow in winter, and yes,
my beautiful munchies, this is Lemon Lime variegated, next to, I don't know if you're
Lemon Lime or Luella, because they look so similar, anyway, and this one, the pink curly thing,
I forgot the name, but anyway, this is the crested one, which has got more siblings over there on
the other side, which I'm not going to show you, but overall, I'm quite happy with how
they're able to stay alive while I'm gone, anyway, guys, thank you so much for watching, and hope
I get to edit a few more videos, and you can have something to watch, but for now,
I just need to go around, clean up my babies, they need cleaning up.
