The new regenerative agricultural revolution is starting right here.
We just finished up our field day, our first field day, and it was absolutely amazing.
I think now the vibe is, when's the next one? When are we going to do this again?
How are we going to build this community?
The palpable excitement is even more monumental than I thought it was going to be. Just seeing
everybody nod, watching people engage, have conversations, ask the questions,
and really lean forward, knowing that together we can make such an incredible difference.
It's just neat to see this farm evolve and develop into regenerative farming,
and it's also cool to see neighboring farms here. You know, it's a movement that we all
need to continue to work on as farmers. We have to tell our own story.
Something that has really stuck with me throughout meeting Starwalker
is regenerating the soil. How much the soil actually matters,
because healthy soil means healthy food means healthy humans.
I think it's important to source farms and agriculture practices that support the health
of our soil, the health of our planet, and importantly, the health of our communities.
To be here on the farm with the cows grazing and just looking so happy,
because I know they are, I hope everybody gets to experience something like this.
Just getting back in touch with the land, getting back in touch with the soil,
and actually understanding where your food is coming from is
the most important thing you can do to start feeling better.
And I think that's the future. The future is all about eating foods that are more nutritious.
It's about taking care of the land. It's about respecting the soil and also leaving a legacy.
There's nothing like going out and being boots on the ground and just walking on this ground
and seeing what the plants are doing, seeing how the soil smells, seeing how deep the air goes.
It all tells a different story, but what they're doing right is they're paying attention,
and that's a huge deal.
There's approximately 2,000 to 3,000 farms who are doing something similar to what walkers are
doing, and events like this help bring more awareness so that that 2,000 to 3,000 can
turn to 20,000 or 30,000.
We had the best people here. We were talking, having conversations about partner producers,
about the future of regenerative organic farming, and how do we link arms and do it all together.
We're just kind of lucky that it all came together in such a short amount of time.
All this stuff that we're doing, all this hard work, it really means something to people,
and I think it's just kind of fun to enjoy everybody else getting to enjoy what we get
to enjoy every day.
Our team is incredible. We always say we need to surround ourselves with people who are going to
work together to take it to the next level, and that's exactly what we had today.
Part of what we're doing is creating legacy and leaving something behind for the next generation.
That is rooted in the soil.
