Man injured after stabbing on SEPTA bus; suspect sought

The search is on tonight for the man who stabbed a victim on a SEPTA bus. It happened in North Philadelphia in the middle of the afternoon. Action News reporter Cheyenne Korenne live for us now at Police Headquarters with that story. Cheyenne. Sorry, well SEPTA says that this started as a fight on one of their buses that somehow escalated to this man being stabbed multiple times. Now at last check he is in critical but stable condition, but while he's recovering police here are still looking for that suspect tonight. We were taking an order and next thing we know we saw a guy running down the street, all this blood all over him, on his neck, his face. Around 3.30 this afternoon a man was stabbed on a Route 54 bus on the 2700 block of Germantown Avenue. SEPTA Transit Police say it started as a fight then escalated. It was just like, oh my God, she stabbed me in my neck. Police say the victim exited the bus and was taken to the hospital. He is now being treated for wounds to the neck, arm and face. That's scary and we don't know if he was going to survive that. This afternoon investigators combed the scene looking for surveillance video in the busy business block while those who witnessed the stabbing are shaken up hoping the victim fully recovers. Hopefully he does. Hopefully he make it out and you know everything is okay. Now we know that SEPTA buses are equipped with surveillance cameras. We spoke to a spokesperson who says right now they are reviewing that footage and are hoping to release it.
