Chongqing Insane Hairpin Road Descent - Scenic Drive 4K

This immersive 4K scenic drive descends through a relentless series of hairpin bends from the mountains of Lanying Township to the remote floor of Lanying Grand Canyon in Wuxi County, Chongqing, China. The journey begins at the junction of Provincial Highway S102 and Zhujiapo Mountain Road. From there, the road drops through stacked Z-shaped switchbacks before reaching Qinglong No. 2 Dam in Lanying Village at the bottom of the canyon. The route is only 5.99 kilometers, or approximately 3.7 miles, yet the descent takes around 26 minutes. Elevation falls from about 1,130 meters to 458 meters, creating a net drop of roughly 672 meters or 2,205 feet. Tight hairpins, steep gradients, narrow sections and constantly changing canyon views make this short drive both breathtaking and genuinely nerve-racking.
