The content highlights her commitment to bodybuilding prep, her dedication to creating a positive learning environment for her students during state testing, and her personal focus on faith and wellness.
Good morning.
You guys are gonna spend the day with me
as a teacher who wakes up at 3 o'clock in the morning.
So, I am so tired.
But the hardest part about getting up in the morning
is getting up.
Once you're up, everything else is easy.
You just gotta get up.
Get out of bed.
Don't press snooze.
Don't lay back down.
And just get up.
That's the hardest part.
So, let's get up and get ready for the gym.
It is 3 o'clock in the morning.
So, spend the day with me.
It's gonna be a good day.
First thing I need to do is take out my little heatless curls.
This has been my favorite way to do heatless curls.
Currently, it's like a little rope braid.
So, you just twist.
And they turn out pretty good.
Alright, time to brush my teeth.
I just opened a fresh bottle of toothpaste.
Best feeling.
I always do plug in my waver right away.
And then I just kind of touch up the ends here.
Which usually doesn't take very long.
Having straight ends drives me nuts.
I only had to really touch up like 3 pieces on the bottom.
And then I'm gonna go in with this K18 hair oil.
I feel like sometimes with heatless curls, they get super frizzy.
So, this oil helps a lot with frizz.
Also, if you do your heatless curls on wet hair, a lot of times your hair is more frizzy.
Time to get dressed for the gym.
Here's today's gym outfit of the day.
I've got shorts on. They're from Liaison.
And my top is from Liaison.
I do need to make a new Liaison order.
Maybe they'll come out with a new collection here soon.
I did see Vitality has a similar collection dropping.
I've never tried Vitality before.
So, if you've tried Vitality activewear, let me know.
Do you like it?
I don't own anything from them.
Best deodorant ever.
We're also gonna throw on a little perfume this morning.
I'm gonna use the Ellis Brooklyn Miami Nectar.
I love Ellis Brooklyn.
I would say my two favorite brands of perfume are Ellis Brooklyn and Noize.
These are the two that I kind of go in between.
I'm gonna throw on my new hoodie I got yesterday.
It is from PacSun.
Their collection is Lonely Ghost.
And it says, always find beautiful in everything.
It's so cute.
And the back says a bunch of beautiful things.
It's got a little embroidered flower on the side.
It's so cute.
And I got a size medium.
And it's like perfectly oversized.
I am gonna leave my hair down for the gym today.
Because if I put it up, my waves might be ruined.
So, alright.
I'm hungry.
Let's go make some pre-workout.
Let's go make a snacky.
Also, I almost forgot to put on my Apple Watch.
This is my Apple Watch band from Andy Accessories.
I've been loving their watch brands.
They have scrunchie watch bands, which are amazing.
And they fit me perfectly.
And I have really small wrists.
Okay, pre-workout.
I'm gonna do Bucked Up.
This is just regular Bucked Up in their Freedom flavor, which is great.
So, there's 200 milligrams of caffeine in here.
And then, with my pre-workout, I also do a Bucked Up creatine.
Creatine is basically just a supplement that helps you recover faster, build muscle, all those things.
So, I just put one scoop.
I've been taking creatine for six years.
So, love it.
For Bucked Up, I have a code, MissBrandyReagan20.
Oh, here's a closer look at my shorts.
Now, we're gonna make a little pre-workout snack.
Rice cakes and a banana.
If you don't know, I am on bodybuilding prep currently.
I'm about nine weeks out from my first show.
So, I do follow a very specific meal plan that is given to me by my coach.
I will link my coach that I use for my workouts and my meals in the description.
But, this is what my pre-workout is.
And, it's honestly one of my favorites because I love chocolate rice cakes.
Bodybuilding prep, though, is very different than just going on a diet.
Bodybuilding prep is literally prepping for a show.
So, it's way more intense.
But, my coach also helps people just lose weight, get on track, build a healthier lifestyle.
She's not just for bodybuilding.
Okay, time to head to the gym.
Lighting in here is so bad.
But, it is 349 and I just got to the gym.
Oh, I need to grab my belt.
It's leg day, so I need my lifting belt.
I like to wear my lifting belt when I do RDLs.
Also, this light here has been driving me nuts all week.
It's leg day, so we need to do a little stretching before.
Also, shoes I wear.
I switch back and forth between Nobles and Metcons.
Today, it's a Noble day.
Okay, we're starting with a super set this morning with leg curls and abductions.
Abductions are the ones where you go like this.
Laying leg curls at 4 o'clock in the morning is diabolical.
Next up, we have RDLs.
I also wear wrist straps.
These are just from Amazon.
I used to use dumbbells for RDLs.
Now, I've switched over to using barbell for RDLs because I don't have to pick them up off the ground.
I can do more weight if I use a barbell versus dumbbells.
I added more weight, so it's time to put on my belt.
When you're using a belt, I always breathe in and brace my core against the belt, do my rep, and then breathe out.
Next up, we have Bulgarian split squats.
Next up, I have glute bridges or raises, hip thrusts, whatever you want to call them.
I'm just going to do them on the machine today because I only have 12 minutes left until I need to leave.
We're running behind.
I don't have time to do a whole barbell set up, so we're doing it on the machine.
Let's get it.
That set took me out of it.
That was the first set.
End workout is done.
It is currently almost 5.30, so we're going to make a protein shake.
I am just doing plain vanilla from Simple Eats.
Their plain vanilla is honestly so good.
I feel like if you can make plain vanilla good, then you can make any flavor good.
I always do a scoop and a half so that I get 30 grams of protein in.
You can use code BrandyRegan.
I'm glad I don't have to do my hair today since I'm running a little bit behind.
I also already have an outfit picked out, so that'll be helpful too.
I highly recommend because they're perfect for this.
Throwing your hair up and taking a shower or just adding a cute little look to your outfit.
I don't know. I love their giant scrunchies.
I probably have like 10 big scrunchies from them, but I'm just going to do a body shower today.
I'm going to wash my face with Real Active Face Wash.
I've been using the Mix Bar Creamy Body Wash in Coconut Palm.
It smells so good.
I'll be back after my shower.
Normally, I put my outfit on before I do my hair and my makeup.
My pants that I want to wear are wrinkly, so I just threw them in the dryer to hopefully unwrinkle them.
We're going to do makeup at first.
I don't like doing my makeup first because I don't like putting things over my head and getting makeup on it.
My shirt I'm wearing today is kind of loose, so I shouldn't have a problem getting makeup on it if I put it over my head.
I don't know how people can put tight things on over their head when they have makeup on and not get makeup on it.
That is a skill I have not mastered.
First up, this is the Say Sun Glow. It's like bronzing.
I love this. This is in the color...
Oh, this is in the color Sun Glow, but it's a glowy super gel illuminator.
Then I mix that with my Say Foundation.
This is the Glowy Super Skin Foundation in the shade 8.
This is my favorite foundation.
This is my second bottle of foundation, and I think I will always continue to love it.
Then I use... This is the Say Makeup Brush.
It's called the Big Brush.
For my powder, I've been using the Kosas.
This is the Cloud Set Translucent Buttery Ultra Transparent Powder.
I love this.
I don't normally use, like, a powder powder. I usually use, like, a pressed powder or whatever that is.
But I love this.
I have pretty oily skin, acne-prone skin.
I feel like this keeps the shine away all day long.
And a little bit of this goes a long ways, too.
Say bronzer. This is the Super Suede Bronzer for fair to light skin.
I feel like this gives you a nice tan look without overdoing it.
Then my favorite brush currently is the Kosas Hype Blush is Life.
Look at how pretty that is.
Reminds me of Mars, but pinker, I guess.
And as a science teacher, I love anything that represents science.
I also love space, love planets.
I am so sad that we don't have a planets unit this year.
Last year, we did a space unit, and it was my favorite.
We have a new curriculum this year, so we don't get to do space, which is really sad.
And the kids always love space.
Space is just something that's so interesting.
And the kids can actually relate to because it's easier to relate to because you see the stars.
And you just find it pretty interesting.
I think all students find space interesting.
For my mascara, this is the Kosas Soul Gazer Mascara.
It's amazing.
Brows, I just use the Kosas Brow Gel.
Just in clear.
I don't like my brows to be super dark.
And then we're going to finish it all off with the Kosas Cloud Setting Spray.
I like this one because it's super, super light.
I don't feel like I'm spraying a bunch of water all over, if that makes sense.
Vitamask.
I just figured out how to say this brand the other day.
Lip Butter.
$5.99.
Actually, so $6.
And it's a dupe for the really expensive one.
I love this.
I have one in my teacher bag, my gym bag, in my bathroom, in my car, in my purse.
Anywhere you can think of having a lip balm or a lip butter, that's where I have it.
Okay, so it's really humid today.
So I don't want to add any heat.
That's kind of why I did heatless curls last night.
It's because the past couple days it's been super humid.
I got this new Not Your Mother's Instant De-Frizz All Eyes On Me Spray.
It's like an all-day frizz control.
So I'm going to spray it, and we're going to see how it works today.
My hair actually looks pretty good.
And it survived the gym.
So, yeah, let's go see.
I'm going to go see if my pants are unwrinkled.
My pants are still a little wrinkly, but it'll be fine.
Here's my top, though. I'll show you my pants in a second.
This is from Henley, or Shop Henley.
And I'm just wearing white, these white pants from American Eagle.
I would like to say, whenever I wear white pants, I always wear tan shorts underneath.
So there's no risk for anything.
You can even see them. I pulled a little bit.
Hair looks good, so I'm not going to do anything more to it.
I do need to refresh my deodorant, though, since I showered.
My two favorite scents of Hume deodorant are the Desert Bloom and the Vanilla Daze.
Then I'm going to go in with my Ellis Brooklyn Miami Nectar perfume again.
And then for jewelry, I'm going to wear this Alex and Ani bracelet.
It's from their collab with Crayola for Teacher Appreciation.
And then my Kendra Scott bracelet with the hearts.
And then I have three permanent bracelets on.
My Oura Ring, which I wear every day.
I get a lot of questions if the Oura Ring is worth it.
Honestly, I wear my Apple Watch and my Oura Ring.
I use my Oura Ring mainly to track my sleep.
Is it worth just for tracking your sleep for like $500?
I don't know.
But really, I don't use it for anything other than tracking sleep.
I don't track my cycle or anything like that with it.
But I think if you track your cycle with it, it might be worth it.
Next ring is this ring from Kendra Scott.
And then I have a Wave ring from Pura Vida.
And that's the jewelry.
I've got my Kendra Scott necklace on my heart necklace.
It matches my bracelet.
I'm going to wear these bigger hoops.
I do not know where they're from.
I think I'm going to wear these sandals from Tom's because they're so comfortable.
And I love, see how it looks like it's a buckle?
It's Velcro actually.
So like, so easy to put on and wear.
I love Velcro.
But yeah, I'm going to wear these shoes today.
And yeah, it's time to go make some breakfast.
So let's go make some breakfast.
For breakfast, I'm making egg whites and one egg.
And then some everything bagel seasoning.
I'm currently on bodybuilding prep.
So I literally eat the same thing every single day.
I've been eating the same thing every single day for about 11 weeks now, if not more than that.
And honestly, no, I don't get sick of the meals that I'm eating because I genuinely enjoy my meals.
And then I'm going to toast up a cinnamon raisin English muffin as well.
And sometimes with my English muffins, like I switch them up.
So I'll do cinnamon raisin or I might do like a blueberry English muffin.
Just depends on what the grocery store has.
And I use my cute little McKenzie Childs toaster that I love.
And then I also do some frozen berries.
I just like the frozen ones because then I don't have to worry about them going bad in my refrigerator.
It is currently 6.07.
My breakfast here is made.
I do not put any butter or anything on my English muffin because I'm on prep.
You could put butter on it, obviously, but my prep does not allow for anything extra.
So I don't put any butter on it, but they taste good, honestly, without butter.
So I'm going to eat my breakfast and watch the news.
I watch the news every single morning.
Right now they're talking severe weather risk for later this evening, which is not surprising because it's so humid outside.
But it's also April. It's also tornado season. It's also rain season.
So you never know what's going to happen in Iowa.
But I will see you guys at school.
And here we are at school.
Today is the first official day of state testing, so we have to do a couple things to get ready for that.
All of these posters that I had to hang up in my classroom, I want to write, like,
you've got this, in positive, encouraging things on them.
So we're going to do that.
I also brought a ton of candy because I need to restock my candy drawer.
Also, lunches, I always get asked what I make for lunch or bring for lunch.
I have shrimp, rice, and green beans for my lunch.
And then I eat a snack on my plan about 10, 15, and I eat chicken and green beans.
For candy, I have this Nerds Laffy Taffy Sweet Tarts Mix, Trolli Mix, and Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish Mix.
Hopefully this will last until the end of the year.
It's also really warm in my classroom today. Very warm.
And I like it warm. This is warm.
Okay, so now it's time to write on all of the posters that I hung up on my wall.
This one is full.
So we're going to write some positive, encouraging things on them.
Poster number one.
Poster number two.
This is the last one I'm going to write on because I can't reach the ones up there.
Ta-da!
Poster number three is done.
Since I'm spending so much time with some of my students this week due to state testing,
I've been trying to teach them how to make friendship bracelets.
So here is mine.
I learned how to make friendship bracelets when I was young from YouTube videos.
And so here's one.
Here is another one.
And another one.
So these students are learning how to make them.
Here's one that I just recently finished.
I don't know who I'm going to give this to yet, but it'll probably be a student.
All right, well, it's time for me to get my day started.
I do not film during contract time, so I will see you guys at 315.
Hello!
It is currently after school. It is currently at 326 to be exact.
I have just a couple things to do quick before we head out and leave.
It has been a fabulous day other than it's been 80 degrees in this classroom all day long.
So I am sweating.
And I've been sweating all day long.
My hands are so clammy and gross and sweaty right now.
It's disgusting.
The A.C. must not be working on this side of the building.
If you go to the other side of the building, it is beautiful temperature.
Not over here.
But the frizz product I used this morning worked wonders.
Except for one student told me,
Miss Reagan, you can tell it's humid by looking at your hair.
But I think my hair still looks pretty dang good,
considering it's 80 degrees in this classroom and it's so humid.
My students do normally stack their chairs,
but usually there's a couple that don't get stacked.
I also usually like to wipe down tables and stuff,
but I'm currently out of Clorox spray,
and I don't like to waste a ton of wipes.
Tomorrow we have a late start,
so I have an hour of teacher-directed time tomorrow morning.
So I'm going to use that time to get some plans and stuff done and leave,
because I am so warm.
I just need to be in fresh air.
I need to be in a cool environment.
Here is my favorite teacher bag ever.
This is from Dagny Dover.
It's the best bag.
And then I use a bog bag as my lunchbox.
And honestly, it's amazing,
because if I ever have lunch spill or something,
it's so easy to clean out.
Okay, let's leave this sauna.
Also, I remembered that I have not turned on the air condition at my house yet,
so it might be a little warm in my house.
Lookit, there's a little ducky on my car.
And it's a mini one!
This is like the third time in the past couple weeks that I got a duck on my handle.
So this one I just got.
This one I got a couple days ago,
and it says USA on it.
Gotta add him to my little collection of ducks.
I'm honestly, though, kind of scared to go home.
I'm really scared that it's going to be super hot,
because it's currently...
My car says 86.
My watch says 82.
Let's hope it's not 80 degrees inside my house.
I just got home.
It is currently 78 degrees inside of my house.
So let's turn on some A.C.,
which is actually not that bad.
I was expecting it to be warmer in here than that,
but it is almost 4 p.m.
I am going to go ahead and change into a comfy outfit.
Here is my after-school outfit.
This set is from Garage.
It's a tube top with shorts.
But I'm going to throw in a load of laundry quick.
I try to do at least one load of laundry during the week,
so I don't have as much to do on the weekends.
My go-to laundry detergent is the Buff City Soaps.
This is in the Magnolia scent.
A little bit of this goes a long way,
and it smells so good.
I especially love to use it on my bedding,
because then it makes my bedding smell good for like two weeks.
It is time to make my after-school snack,
which is eggs and almonds.
I actually got eggs delivered to my house the other day,
and this is from Haven Acres,
which is like a local place in Iowa,
and they deliver eggs straight to your house,
which I love because I eat a ton of eggs.
So that made getting my eggs super easy this week.
So I just pan fry two eggs,
and I've been loving adding the Everything Bagel seasoning
to eggs anytime I make them.
Life of a girl on bodybuilding prep.
And then I also get some almonds,
which I actually really like almonds.
These ones have no salt or anything on them.
I do like the salt ones better.
But these are so good.
We are going to head on a little walk
and take Poppy on a walk,
and I'm also watching my grandparents' dog,
which my parents now take care of
because they are no longer able to take care of their dog anymore.
So we're gonna take them both on a little walk
since it's so nice outside.
But we all know Poppy doesn't like walks,
but actually having Sam here helps Poppy.
So here's Sam. I'll let you meet her.
This is Sammy.
She is a 10-year-old miniature poodle.
But this has been her spot on the top of the couch.
I am not an ankle-bite dog girly.
I do not like little dogs like that.
So you will never catch me owning a little teeny tiny ankle-biter,
but she's fine to have here for a few days.
We are out on our beautiful 80-degree walking walk.
We've got Poppy over here and Sammy over here.
It is so nice outside.
I'm so ready for it to be summertime.
Okay, we are home from our walk.
It is time to sit on the couch and relax for a little while
because I have not done that all day.
Okay, so I'm going to be relaxing,
and I think I'm going to watch Rookie on Disney+.
That's what I've been watching recently.
I've also been watching Lincoln Lawyer,
but I've been watching this one more recently, more frequently.
So we're going to watch some Rookie,
and then here in about 30 minutes it will be time to make some dinner.
It is time to make some dinner, so I'm going to make some green beans.
I'm going to make my normal dinner
that I've been making for the past, like, five months.
I also forgot that Temptation Island just started
or just dropped a new season on Netflix, so that's what I'm watching.
Cowboy Butter Kinder Seasoning.
I also use avocado oil spray.
And then I'm going to put these green beans in the air fryer
at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
Now time for ground beef,
and I'm going to make it into a little patty.
Same seasoning.
And then I just throw this on a pan and fry it up.
I'm going to make a little mocktail for my drink today,
so I'm going to use a La Croix.
This is the black raspberry flavor.
And I'm just going to dump it over ice,
and then I'm going to sprinkle in just a little bit of Crystal Light.
Mix it up.
So dinner is served.
It looks absolutely delicious.
I currently don't get carbs like potatoes or rice with my dinner,
so it's just beef and green beans for dinner.
I can't wait in nine weeks to have all the carbs with my dinner.
Okay, now we are headed to Crumble Cookies
because I need to pick up a few Crumble Cookies for students.
I have four students, I think, that ordered Crumble,
and I ordered them online to go pick them up.
And Poppy's always along for the ride.
She loves little car rides, so I thought I'd bring her along with me.
We're going to roll the windows down, crank up some tunes,
and jam out to get Crumble.
So my students can buy Crumble Cookies for 160 PBIS points,
and those points take a really long time for students to build up.
So I think that it's worth 160 points.
I have some students that have been building up all school year
to get Crumble Cookies.
So, yeah, I think that it's just something really fun to do for kids.
Yes, I'm spending my own money on Crumble Cookies,
but a lot of times students have never had Crumble Cookies before,
so this is kind of their opportunity to save up
and get something that they wouldn't normally maybe be able to get.
So, yeah, I always pick them up the night before
because Crumble doesn't open until, you know, 8,
and I have to be at school at 7.15.
So I usually try to get them the night before
and then have them ready for them at school
so that they can enjoy their Crumble Cookies.
So, yeah, we're going to go pick up some Crumble,
and I'm really sad that I cannot eat Crumble right now.
It is very hard to go to Crumble, pick up Crumble Cookies for students,
and not get one for myself
because I used to always get at least a mini or three of the minis
because you can get a box of three for myself.
So, yeah.
Crumble is secured.
Laundry's done, so that means it is time to do
my least favorite part of laundry, holding.
I don't always take an evening shower and a morning shower,
but since it was 80 degrees in my classroom today
and I was kind of sweating all day long
and I was outside taking the dogs on a walk,
I am going to take a quick body shower.
I just feel super sweaty and clammy,
and I just need to wash it all off.
PJs are on.
These PJs are from The Gap.
I washed my face in the shower with my Real Earl wash,
but now we're going to go in with the serum here.
I've been using Real Active for probably two weeks now,
since Easter,
and I really haven't noticed much difference.
But I know that skincare, all that stuff,
it doesn't happen overnight.
I mean, I've struggled with acne basically since sixth grade,
basically my whole life,
so I know it doesn't happen overnight.
But Alex Earl can influence me to buy anything and everything.
I love her.
Last step in skincare is the moisturizer.
I like that her skincare is simple,
like there's not 500 steps.
You take your makeup off, you cleanse,
you serum, and then you moisturize.
Sometimes I feel like skincare has a bajillion steps to it,
and it's just so hard to keep up,
and it takes you like an hour to do your skincare.
All right, time to do Bible study,
because it's currently 7.06,
so we're going to do a little Bible study,
and then it'll be time to head to bed.
So I've talked a little bit on here
about how I am kind of just starting out my faith journey,
figuring out and learning all the things.
And so the Bible study I've been following is Walk with Jesus,
and this is a Bible study for women.
It's a year-long teaching,
and it has like a reading plan so that you can follow,
so like day one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
And it's a week, so there's a whole year in here.
And the passages that you read aren't super long,
and so it doesn't take really a long time.
Like you can probably get days worth of Bible study done
in five to ten minutes.
And then there's questions for you to answer
and kind of reflect on your reading and your thinking.
And so this I just got on Amazon.
I do have it linked on my Amazon storefront.
And then this is the Bible that I've been using,
and Bible tabs.
My Bible tabs came with like a bunch of markers
and a case and stuff like that.
But I like this Bible because it has places for me
to write notes on the sides.
And so especially during church,
I like to kind of follow along with what they're reading
and write notes at the same time.
Or if there's something in here that kind of sparks something,
then I want to put in my actual Bible as well.
So we're going to do a little Bible study.
I got this on Amazon too,
but we're going to do a little Bible study tonight.
And yeah, it's currently 710,
so hopefully I'll be kind of asleep by like 745, 730-ish.
But thank you for spending the day with me.
Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe.
I love you guys so much.
Bye.
