If you are tired of your puppy biting the ---- out of you and your kids causing you to bleed,
your kids to scream and cry, and you prefer to have a puppy snuggle you on the couch like this
calmly without shredding up your hands and your clothes, we're going to show you three proven
techniques that absolutely work. None of the fluff, none of the BS, and all that other crap
that doesn't work. You finally found a video that's going to show you the secret you've been
waiting on. Let's get into it. If you're wondering who the star of the show is, this is Drax. It's
what we call the Italian Mastiff, a.k.a. Cane Corso, and he's part of our Build a Puppy Series
sweepstakes giveaway. What we're doing is we're taking folks behind the scenes and showing them
step-by-step how we raise and train a puppy from zero to hero. We're talking potty training,
crate training, and everything we need to have a dog that's fully on and off leash trained before
they get six months of age. What we do here all day, every day. If you want to get involved,
and more importantly, have your chance to win either $25,000 cash or this exact puppy here
when he's fully finished, check out DIYCanine.com so you can get involved and you can see everything
it takes to raise a puppy to be the best that they can be or just win the puppy. Let's get
back to the video. This first technique we're going to show you is actually a three-for-one.
It's applicable if the puppy's biting you, if it's biting someone else, if it's biting something on
the ground it's not supposed to, and I'm going to walk and talk you through it right now. We're
going to use this little duck feather that we found. It should probably go in his mouth about
the first 10 seconds. You know how it goes. Puppy sees something on ground, puppy puts in mouth. So
let's see. It's called the scruff technique. It is the least intense method, and what you're doing
is taking your hands kind of like a claw, and you grab them like such. Leash is obviously helpful,
and you scruff like that, and it says you cannot put that in your mouth. Duck feather is not the
worst, but a rock would be pretty bad, an electrical cord would be pretty bad. We just told him don't
do that. It's not good for you. Now you still want to check it out, but you notice he says I'm not
going to put that in my mouth again. Now the next technique we're going to show you is if they have
something in their mouth that it's okay that they have it in their mouth, maybe a toy, but it's like
playtime's over. I need to get that from you, and you don't want to create conflict. Just take this
flat collar that's on them, or a martingale flat collar, any collar will do, and you just lift up,
and he's going to get very possessive. This isn't telling him he's a bad dog. This actually makes
him bite harder in a sense, so don't use this to teach a puppy from stop biting you. It just makes
him bite it harder. See, he still wants it. In fact, he can have it again. He's a good boy. So
you see how the two techniques are very different. One says don't bite that again. The other one says
we'll play more later, my man, and that's exactly why we use it with our police dogs, but this is a
good little method should they get something in their mouth that you want to maybe see what the
hell it is or get it out pretty quickly without causing any harm. Now does it ever teach them to
stop biting that? Hell no. It actually teaches them to bite it more, whereas the first technique,
the scruff, highly effective with puppies eight, nine, ten weeks old. Now stay tuned because we're
just getting started. As the puppies get bigger and stronger, have a harder temperament, you're
One more thing before we go. I know a lot of you are going to do it soft because you're afraid that
the puppy's going to hate you. They're going to get scared. You're going to hurt them. I literally
just did that correction of the scruff not even five minutes ago, and he and I are still hanging
out. We're best buddies. They don't associate the correction with you. If you do it right,
if the timing's correct, if you don't put a lot of verbals on it, you don't have to say anything.
The correction didn't come from me. The correction came from putting that thing in your mouth. The
correction came from your bad decision. It has nothing to do with me. And so trust me, do it
right. If you do it wrong and you keep letting your puppy get away with murder, then you're going
to grow to hate the puppy. So let's not do that. Let's get it fixed right now so that we can move
on to better things. All of these techniques work less than five minutes, like seconds,
seconds y'all. Speaking of seconds, follow me into the second section. All right. This is going to
be one of my most favorite ones. It works just incredibly well. And I can't wait to use it
because he's just chewing on me. So I want to show you this puppy is actually biting the bejesus out
of me. All right. It hurts. And we're just going to go ahead and fix it. And then I'll tell you
what we did to fix it. It's called popping the grape. You see these little dimples here? Homeboy
is biting me pretty bad. Now he might bite me one more time and we'll just deploy the technique one
more time. This technique is so powerful. You only need to use it about two or three times and then
you are done for life. All right. So the technique is he's biting so much softer now, but still we're
going to fix it. I'll just wait till he kind of builds up his ambition again. And if you think
about having like a really ripe grape in your hand, you know, like a firm one and you pop it,
that's kind of the technique we're talking about. But first we'll experiment on ourselves. I want
you to open your mouth. You can do it with me now. Open. Ah, take your thumb or your forefinger,
push your cheek in and then push up on your molars, specifically the ridge of your molars.
All right. It doesn't feel good. Doesn't kill you. Won't send you to the hospital. So what
we're doing is we're actually, when the puppy goes to bite us, we're forcing them in a sense
to bite themselves. And we just amplify it. This is a wonderful technique for puppies around 12
to 16 weeks of age before their adult teeth come in. Can you do it with adult teeth? Yes,
but you got to do it so much harder because you lack that little pointy, the same thing that's
tearing up your arms and your hands and your clothes. That same thing is exactly what we're
going to be poking right into their gum. So the pop the grape technique is exactly that. Yeah.
It's so powerful though. You have to do it right when they're biting you and you have to be quick
about it very fast. So if they're biting this hand, you roll over the top and pop the grape.
Now, you know, you did it right. If you get a little perfect, that means message delivered.
If you do it soft, which so many people do, we hear that, oh, my puppy just bites me harder.
That's because you did it wrong. If he's biting you on a two and then you come in on a two or a
three, he's going to bite you on a four or a five, go back, follow the recipe again and try again.
I guarantee you it'll get that much better. Now, the only problem with the pop the grape technique
is it's only effective for the person who executed it. It's a little tricky to do that maneuver.
Let's say he was biting my kid and I walk up and the puppy stops biting and looks at me.
I miss the opportunity. It must be done in the moment. That's the most important part. Let's get
into the next section and show you an even more effective technique. This last technique is
probably one of the best. Ah, biting horrible. All right. So this is what you do. The term is
biting off more than you can chew, more than you bargained for. He wants just the tip. I'm
going to give him the whole thing. Now, how this works is as they're biting, what you're going to
do is drown on the bite. That is the technique. You can use it for more than just them biting you,
anything that they're putting in their mouth that you don't want them to. Instead of just
a little nibbling on the tip, you give them the whole thing. So it happens quick. As with everything,
you can only do it while they're doing it. So you can kind of bait them to do it. All right,
he's biting and the technique is going to happen. Wait, I just want to be set up for it.
Wait for it. I'll just do it one handed. I'll show you here. So all I do is as he's biting it,
shove my hand all the way to the back of his mouth, into his throat, creates a gag reflex.
It's very uncomfortable. And notice the biting has stopped. It happens that quick. Now,
the other thing is you notice he didn't run away. He didn't scream nothing. He just goes,
ah, it's a little too much. That's what she said. So it's highly, highly effective. However,
little tricky to teach your kids because the tendency is for someone, whatever they're biting
to pull away. Now, the more you pull, not only the more it hurts, the harder they bite. Again,
it's how we teach police dogs and protection dogs to bite. It's constantly playing the keep away
game, the pull away game. Instead, we switch the game up and I can sacrifice this toy to show you.
You shove it all the way in and they'll go, you know what, bro? It's I'd rather not. I'd rather
not super effective. He didn't run away. He just calmed his little goofy butt down. And now we can
enjoy ourselves without getting torn up to shreds. All right. Now that we got the puppy biting out of
the way, we can enjoy ourselves. You're going to have the same success. In fact, please post
in the comment below which technique work, how many times you had to do it and which one was
your favorite. Now, having said that, if you want to dive in deeper and now that you got the puppy
biting out of the way, you want to get your dog or puppy to be the best they could ever be,

He and I are going to snuggle now. So these are just love bites right in the front. It
actually feels good. That's more, you know, gnawing and biting. Yeah, back to love bites.
