A ceasefire that's meant to bring calm and peace is instead bringing further devastation
and suffering for Palestinians.
I'm standing on the rubble of an entire neighborhood which has been struck yesterday following
an Israeli phone call ordering Palestinians to flee.
And according to locals here on the ground, they had only five minutes to grab whatever
they could from their properties.
And for the people in central Gaza, this is another attack.
And this is not the only attack that took place yesterday, as there are additional three
attacks that took place in the central area, destroyed more than three residential blocks.
I had discussion with many families here on the ground, and all of them are asking why
our neighborhoods and why our homes are being struck on a daily basis, aren't we in ceasefire?
And all of them mentioned that they don't have any places to seek shelter in, as most
of the shelters here in the central area are filled and overwhelmed with displaced families
from other areas.
So despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continues to breach the ceasefire.
And according to the government media office, there are more than 3,000 breaches to the
ceasefire.
What you are seeing here behind me is locals and families who are trying to salvage whatever
they left yesterday as a result of the Israeli attack.
Some of them are looking for batteries, blankets, mattresses to just use it in the future as
they will have a new journey of displacement and a new journey of uncertainty.
And despite the growing talks about the reconstruction and the entry of the second phase, also the
increasing of the humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, Israel continues to carry out
more airstrikes on the Palestinians.
And this violence highlights the fragile nature of the ceasefire agreement and the challenges
that are faced by the Palestinians on a daily basis.
