The video focuses on transitional fashion between summer and fall, emphasizing a mix of 70s vintage vibes, cottagecore, and business casual looks while highlighting quality luxury brands.
Out of the many sorts of dresses in this style that I've tried, this one is my
absolute favorite. It has some of the sharpest puff sleeves that I've worn ever probably.
Also the wide leg pants along with the platform heels move this outfit in more of this 70s
direction in my mind. This outfit is for a morning of coffee and chess in the park in early fall
just as the leaves are starting to change. It is the perfect date night staple that can
be styled to match different themes. Actually keeps it ironically more on the western side
because of the hat and this. Today I'm creating eight outfits for eight creative scenarios
in eight minutes. Since you guys seemed to really love the last outfits challenge video I created,
it was a few months back. They are not only fun to create, also to watch, but they also are just
filled with unique ideas for date nights or brunch or business casual looks etc. While thinking
through these looks, Saks Fifth Avenue asked if I would like to work with them on a video and
of course I responded with yes. So if you've not shopped from them before, they have lots of
obtainable luxury brands and styles. I've been blown away with just the level of quality honestly.
So let's just have some fun styling a few brands that I've never tried before and I'm officially
partnering with Saks Fifth Avenue today. That's just so much fun to say. They helped me by providing
some spending money for a few of these staples and some transitional pieces that I can use,
between summer and fall. I also purchased some myself on top of that and everything will be
linked down in the description box along with the details on their spend get event. That's where
you can get $35 off of $175, $75 off of $350 or even $175 off of $700 all within a selection of
their full price items. So that's only running for a couple of days so you don't want to miss out
with that. On that note, let's just get started with the outfit. This look is for a Saturday morning
tea and brunch followed by a lovely stroll at the local garden conservatory. Both brunch and a garden
made me immediately think of cottagecore. So this rose midi dress by Saint Cassette would be perfect
for that. Out of the many sorts of dresses in this style that I've tried, this one is my absolute
favorite because it has such a dramatic sleeve. It's the perfect length even as a petite and it's
got an opaque material and it has pockets. I don't know why pockets always get me though. I just think
that they're casual and comfortable and practical. And then I accessorized with a natural straw hat.
So that one is here and then the straw platform shoes that I'm wearing currently and then a small
beige wristlet. So these accessories have a shape to them that moved it away from feminine chic and
more into a bohemian and unique look. Next is an outfit for an afternoon design meeting for a
creative CEO and her team before Monday's clothing pieces are released aka a business casual look
with a twist. I'm working with dark blue denim and walkable shoes. Any creative look is going to also
have some sort of hat. And then the bag choice that I have chosen actually keeps it ironically
more on the western side because of the hat and this and the whole chambray denim look. My choice
for the top is this chambray blouse by Frame. It has this balloon sleeve and it also has this square
neckline. But what's unique about the neckline is that the corners of it extend outward in a really
beautiful way. Also a reminder that it's okay if there's a subtle difference between a monochromatic
outfit and the pieces within it. So the denim doesn't exactly match and that's okay. I actually
think it came together quite well. Next is an outfit for an evening at a summer music festival
where you're showing up the headliners outfit. This top with blues on sleeves from Ackler that
I found on Saks is a vibe all of its own. I love that it's feminine because it has this scalloped
plunge neckline and it can also be styled casually. So I could see myself at a Lana Del Rey concert in
this so easily. It would be just perfect. Also the wide leg pants along with the platform heels
move this outfit in more of this 70s direction in my mind which I've really been trying to embrace
in my own personal style. You can honestly see that across almost all of the outfits today.
Also with all of these looks I'm layering on my gold necklaces and my rings wherever it might be
seen and this neckline really helps to highlight the necklaces. I also got these jeans hemmed up
and I just love how it highlights the shoe but it also would have been totally fine if the jean just
cascaded down on the shoe too. It's just overall a very fun beautiful summer outfit idea with a
little bit of a vintage vibe. This outfit is for a morning of coffee and chess in the park
with her bestie in early fall just as the leaves are starting to change. I know it's only mid-July
but this outfit made me so excited to start preparing for late summer and early fall. The
material of this shirt is really thick but it's not really cumbersome and the colors inside the
pattern of this Hildy polo sweater by Veronica Beard reminded me of the jaw-dropping aesthetic
of the outfits that I remember seeing in the Queen's Gambit, hence the chess scenario. I'm
styling it with some practical accessories like a brown baseball cap, a reasonably sized handbag,
and then also I wanted to have some shoes that were walkable. I could switch out these shoes
as it gets to be a little bit cooler as well and then just one more addition is this brown silk
scarf just to add a little bit of a different and unique dimension to the neckline. If you ever get
a chance to swing by East Nashville you might spot Zach and me grabbing some drinks at the Pearl
Diver which is a place that has this sort of Elvis in Hawaii charm about it. This Sankaset dress is
the mini dress version of the ivory one I was wearing before so now it's in this gold color.
It is the perfect date night staple that can be styled to match different themes. So here I'm
embracing this summer retro theme with some platform shoes and these ones have that straw
theme as well which kind of fits within that Hawaii sort of environment. This outfit is also
about as Nashville as I go with having a taller fedora and then I've got this cross body bag that
has this half moon shape. So overall I'm really happy with the color of this dress and I didn't
want my accessories to outshine it. I'd rather have them blend and look more cohesive but this
is definitely a new favorite dress within my collection. Next is a cool summer evening sailing
on the Lady Carpe Diem sipping a favorite wine watching the most beautiful sunset. For that
scenario I'd be remiss not to use this 70s Mariner t-shirt by Frame. When I first tried it on I felt
like it was the stripe tee that I've been longing for and searching for. It's got a thicker organic
cotton. It's a perfect sleeve length right at the elbow and then the stripes start right where an
off-the-shoulder top would land which actually accentuates my smaller shoulders. So I'm repurposing
the navy silk scarf that I was wearing before and I'm just knotting it subtly around my neck. Then
I'm styling it with platform heels, a sun hat, and a handbag which wouldn't necessarily be practical
for a moving sailboat but it would actually be perfect for a casual weekend. So these lighter
accessories carry this white color from the shirt through the rest of the outfit and then the navy
stripe is repeated on the jeans. And as you can guess navy is a favorite color of mine that I love
injecting into my wardrobe throughout summer and then into the fall. Next is the cool girl owner of
the freshly opened record shop on the corner of 3rd and Main. I wanted to create a look with a
bandana and I also wanted to work within the scheme of navy so the shapes and the patterns elevate
this monochromatic look. There's also a certain toughness of this look which reminds me of Rosie
the Riveter's grandchild. If you're on the hunt for a denim jacket that is not boring, this one from
St. Cassette delivers. Over on my Instagram stories by the way, you guys helped me try to pronounce
that brand correctly in French and I'm probably still butchering it but I'm trying. The jacket can
be worn closed but I like working in a feminine cami underneath. Then as to not add bulk, I'm using
some accessories in ivory that is going to be this ivory clutch as well as some shoes that I was
wearing before and that just helps to elevate it without it looking too bulky. So this outfit
perfectly juxtaposes the masculine and the feminine aspects that I just love when working together
and it was one of my picks from Saks. For this look, I'm doing some fall fashion dreaming. This
outfit reminded me a bit of Ralph Lauren's style yet reimagined. This denim blouse by Frame from
Saks has some of the sharpest puff sleeves that I've worn ever probably. The collar also stays
open and just has this really charming vibe to that. Also these jeans are cropped up a bit so
I got to tame down the femininity that I can see in the sleeves with a masculine more academia vibe
by choosing a caramel oxford. Then the bag that I'm wearing closely matches in color and yet the
rectangular shape that it has contrasts the puff sleeves. Then this fedora just has a nod to the
other brown accessories. And that's it for my eight creative outfits in eight minutes. Hopefully I hit
the eight minute mark but we'll see. So which one was your favorite outfit? You can let me know in
the comments and you can also let me know if you like this type of video by giving it a thumbs up.
Thank you again to Saks Fifth Avenue for being my sponsor today. That is an absolute dream come true
and you can find at least one item from each of these outfits on their website with everything
linked down in the description box along with all of my sizes listed too. And with that I will see
you guys next time. Bye!
