Jordan Battle reveals his biggest goal ahead of training camp

Jordan Battle has one goal entering training camp, and it has nothing to do with individual accolades. The Bengals safety wants to help Cincinnati end its three-year playoff drought and make a deep postseason run. If you enjoy Bengals coverage, like, share, and follow for more. As the Bengals prepare for training camp, Battle shared his mindset on the Bengals Booth podcast I feel like this is the year to do it. He's not satisfied with simply reaching the playoffs. His goal is to help Cincinnati advance through the wildcard round, the divisional round, the AFC championship, and ultimately the Super Bowl. That determination comes from his winning background at Alabama. During four seasons with the Crimson Tide, Battle was part of a program that went 48-6, reached two college football playoff national championship games, won one national title, and established himself as one of college football's top defensive backs. After competing for national championships in college, he's still waiting to experience his first NFL playoff game, making this season especially meaningful. Since being selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Battle has recorded 140 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six interceptions, and 14 passes defended over three seasons, establishing himself as an important part of Cincinnati's defense. The Bengals attacked the offseason by adding proven veterans, including Dexter Lawrence, Jonathan Allen, Boye Mafe, Kyle Duggar, Brian Cook, and Jaseer Taylor. Those moves reflect Cincinnati's determination to end its three-year playoff drought and return to postseason football, giving the roster a fresh opportunity to compete at a higher level. With rookies reporting on July 25th and veterans arriving on July 28th, training camp marks the beginning of a pivotal season. For Battle, every practice is another step toward reaching the first NFL playoff game of his career and helping Cincinnati make the postseason run he's been chasing.
