A federal judge has invalidated a settlement between Donald Trump and the US government that would have granted him immunity from tax audits and established a multi-billion dollar compensation fund for his allies. Judge Kathleen Williams ruled the agreement was collusive and filed in bad faith, as Trump effectively controlled the defendant (the IRS) during his presidency.
