'Jumping Junction': Disney's Animal Kingdoms new kangaroo encounter

Good day. Orlando Extra has taken you inside Disney for something really special. We're checking out a new experience at Animal Kingdom. It's called Jumping Junction. So we've been getting up close and personal this morning with kangaroos and wallabies. Fox 35 Stephanie Buffamonte got a chance to meet those animals up close and personal. Take a look. We are inside Jumping Junction and just take a look. We have a joey right there. These red kangaroos are absolutely incredible. This space is the newest and coolest thing here at Disney's Animal Kingdom. And I'm going to bring in Maggie, zoological manager Maggie. This is just so incredible to be able to walk around, learn about these kangaroos, two different species and also some wallabies. Tell us a little bit about this space. Absolutely. Jumping Junction here at Disney's Animal Kingdom is our way to invite our guests for a whole new walk about experience. Just like our Kilimanjaro safari invites guests to explore Africa here at Jumping Junction. We're inviting you to come on a walk about where you can be up close and personal with wallabies, kangaroos of two different types of species. And it is so incredible. I mean, just look at how close we are right now to these kangaroos and wallabies to be that up close and personal. What do you hope people take away and kids take away? We really hope here at Jumping Junction to inspire our guests being this close to animals and getting that connection that you feel when you're this close to them is inspiring for anyone to go home to wherever it is they're from and do what they can to conserve animals in their natural environment. Of course, for people who have come to Disney before, maybe some pass holders or just some annual visitors. This space looks very different. Why bring something new here at Disney's Animal Kingdom? We always want to be new and innovative. We want to give our guests an experience that they've never had before. And Jumping Junction does exactly that. And if we come back this way, it is just I just can't get over it. Look how close you are to these kangaroos and just to see them out and about their curiosity, eating, interacting with each other and the joey. I mean, you just I just can't get over how small and cutie they are. So adorable. We're not sure yet whether they're boys or girls, but we know that they're developing healthy. As you can see all of those leg muscles as they hop around and get the zoomies that's letting us know that these guys are growing and developing the way they should. And as you when you come inside Jumping Junction, you get to walk through with a guide. So you're learning along the way. What is maybe one of your favorite facts? One of my favorite facts about these guys is the fact that they have a very unique reproductive process. These guys, female kangaroos can actually have three different pregnancies at one time. I know. Isn't that amazing? Oh my God. And you'll get many facts just like that one. If you come here to Jumping Junction Junction. But for now, mate, we'll send it back to you. Love stuff out there. No, she's out there all the time. It's like except what story you have today. She's like, well, I got kangaroos. She just lives in Cinderella's castle and she kind of does.
