Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video demonstrates the capabilities of Aftershoot, an AI-powered software designed to streamline the photography workflow. It covers the entire process from importing thousands of RAW files to culling, editing, retouching, and delivering a final online gallery, significantly reducing days of manual work into less than an hour.
AI software for photographers is taking over.
It's incredible.
It's also horrifyingly good.
And this new update from Aftershoot
is probably the most impressive photography software
I have seen to date.
This software was made with wedding photographers in mind,
but after this new update,
I think this software is literally for any photographer
that shoots people.
This video is technically sponsored,
but Aftershoot hasn't told me anything
that I need to talk about.
They just said, show the features of this new update,
and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
I'm going to upload an entire wedding to this application
and show you what it's capable of doing.
This is going to blow your mind.
On the homepage here, click Create Album,
and this is where you drag hundreds
or thousands of RAW files.
It took just a couple of minutes
to upload 2,613 RAW files here.
And we have options.
We can do culling, editing, or retouching.
I'm going to do everything,
and we're gonna start with culling.
All you have to do is choose the genre,
which in this case is weddings,
and then choose how many selected photos
you want the AI to choose for you,
few, standard, or more.
In just 18 minutes,
Aftershoot has gone through all 2,600 RAW files
and categorized each one.
Now, I'm going to switch over to the loop view here,
and this is my favorite view for culling.
This is going to allow us to go through
every single image one by one
and double-check what Aftershoot has chosen
as the best images.
You'll notice along the bottom
that some of these images are grouped with other images.
Those are the duplicate images.
Here's a good example of seven images
that were all taken of the exact same group photo.
Aftershoot has chosen this one
and colored it blue as the best of the group.
And if we click on this smiley face,
it will toggle these icons below each face
that let us know the focus
and if each subject's eyes are open.
You'll also notice that everybody's face
is automatically zoomed in on,
so you're not having to zoom in to 400%
and slide around to make sure
that everybody looks their best.
It's automatically done for you.
Because Aftershoot's done all the work
and organized everything,
I can get through all 2,600 images
and just double-check what the AI has done
in about 15 or 20 minutes.
Now, I'm going to click on the Edit tab here,
and I am going to turn on only four and five-star images.
Now, within this Edit panel,
Aftershoot is going to edit and color grade each image,
and there's a couple of different ways that you can do this.
If you have a signature style,
you can train Aftershoot to edit just like you
and create your own AI profile
by uploading previously edited weddings
in Lightroom catalogs.
If you don't wanna deal with that,
you can click on Marketplace,
and down here, you can find tons of AI profiles
created by some of the best photographers in the world.
So, up top, you're going to either choose the AI profile
that you created
or the one that you got from the Marketplace.
I really like the way the editorial style looks.
And then here, I'm going to turn on AI cropping,
which is obviously going to crop into images,
AI straightening, which is going to straighten the horizon,
and AI masking,
which is going to automatically select subjects
in every image,
and I'll show you why that's important in just one second.
Let's click Edit.
Now, editing and color grading 749 images
just took approximately 45 minutes,
but I was playing video games while it was working.
Now, in previous versions of this software,
if you wanted to tweak any of these edits
or if you wanted to export these RAW files to JPEGs,
you still had to use some third-party software
like Lightroom or Capture One,
and so you were constantly jumping
between Aftershoot and another program.
Not anymore.
As you can see, as I jump between these images here,
we have all of the settings on the right,
and this isn't just some global setting
that it's pasting on every single one of these images.
Each one of these images has a unique edit,
and if we want to tweak anything,
we can easily do that right within this software.
And remember, we turned on subject selection,
so if I click on masking over here,
it has automatically masked subjects
in every single picture,
and now I can edit subjects
independently from the background.
So we have now edited and color-graded every single shot,
but there's one more feature in this software,
and this might be the most valuable.
We can go to retouch right here.
All right, within the retouch panel here,
find an image that's zoomed in somewhat on people's faces,
zoom in a little bit,
and then just start playing with these sliders.
There are so many different options
to remove acne, blemishes, freckles, forehead lines,
smile lines, brightening teeth, brightening eyes,
removing glare from glasses, removing hair flyaways.
Look at that.
I mean, that would take me 20 minutes
to do that on one image,
or the AI can do it instantly for you.
Once you get it looking good on one of these images,
hit this plus button up here to create a preset.
I've already done this,
and I called it Lee's Preset here.
And we can click on this button down here
to show the before and after.
A huge difference, but also nothing looks fake.
Nobody would ever look at this image and go,
oh, come on, it's fake AI, Photoshop, whatever.
It just looks like a more polished image.
So once you have that preset locked in,
just hit Command A to select all
and choose the preset for every single one of these images,
and it is in progress right now.
It's going to go through each one of these images
and make every single one of those changes you just set.
And I'm just going to zoom into another random picture here
just to double check that we like the way everything looks.
And yeah, once again,
it's just a slight fix on everybody's faces and their hair,
but I think it looks much better.
We now have to deliver these files to the client.
And in the past,
you had to have some other subscription service
that you had to upload all of these files to,
and it would create a gallery online.
Not anymore.
Aftershoot actually has all of this built in now,
which is nuts.
You can click create gallery up here in the upper right.
And now every edited color graded and retouched image
is automatically being uploaded to the internet
and a gallery is being built.
And here we are just a few minutes later,
our entire wedding uploaded online.
Now you can design this gallery to look however you want
and work however you want.
Right now downloads are free.
You can download the entire wedding right there.
You can click on an image
and download an image individually as well.
If you want to add a Stripe account
in the backend of this,
you can charge for downloads
and you can also turn on printing
and then you can charge whatever you want
for prints as well.
And here is such a crazy tool,
the face filter here.
It automatically shows all of the different faces
of people at the wedding.
And if you were the father of the bride
and you said,
hey, I just want to show pictures of me.
Look at that.
Instantaneously pulls up only pictures of you.
This is going to help you sell so many more prints
because if you're delivering a thousand or more images,
most guests don't want to cycle through all of those
to try to find themselves.
But now they can easily find themselves.
And I was just talking to the creator of this software
and he was telling me that if you want to,
you can restrict access to the photos
to only the photos of yourself.
So the way this would work is you would show up
to kind of an empty website
and it would say upload an image of yourself.
And when you upload a selfie of yourself,
this software will only show you images of yourself
if privacy is a concern.
So guys, obviously in the last couple of years,
we have seen new software coming out monthly
that is just amazing for photographers.
But I have never seen software like this
that can do so many things this well.
If you shoot weddings professionally,
at the very least,
you have to try this software.
If you can make this work for your business,
this is life changing stuff.
I mean, doing this much editing to photographs
and then creating a gallery online
would at the very least be days of work,
if not potentially over a week of work.
And I was able to do it in under one hour of work.
But this software is so powerful now,
especially with the retouching portal
that I think this could be used
by anybody who shoots people.
Obviously I'm blown away,
but you don't have to take my word for it.
You can download Aftershoot and try it 100% for free.
