Surviving 4 Days on a Wild Bird Island with Thousands of Cormorants and Seagulls. Bushcraft survival, fishing, camping, and building an underground shelter on a remote island teeming with nests, eggs, and chicks.

A man traveled 5km by motorboat to a small, remote bird island home to tens of thousands of birds. The island, approximately 2 hectares in size, was covered in cormorant and seagull nests. Small, water-tolerant trees, only 1–2 meters tall, grew there, and almost every branch bore nests with eggs and chicks.

After arriving, it began to rain lightly. He only had simple supplies: bread, butter, salt, sugar, a kettle, and a blanket. His plan was to fish and survive on the island.

He caught a large carp weighing 4 kg and several smaller fish, which he grilled over a fire. At night, he slept under the blanket near the fire.

One morning, he discovered that a compartment in his inflatable boat had lost air. Realizing he might need to stay longer, he decided to build an underground shelter on the hill using driftwood and reeds from the island.

Over the next four days, he dug a shelter about 4 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2 meters deep. He built a roof with wood and reeds, covering it with plastic and clay to protect against the rain. Inside, he built a clay stove and made a simple bed from wood and reeds.

For these four days, he survived by fishing, cooking fish, and living among the thousands of birds on this remote, wild island.

Finally, he finished the shelter, lit a fire inside the underground house, and spent the night there, surrounded by the sounds of thousands of birds.
