Are we in frame? Hello everybody and welcome back to another video. In this video I'm going to show
you how I paint this beautiful bird. This is actually a full lesson on MJSTV, my online
painting school. Link is in the description below. I think I just said school, I meant to say school.
The lesson on MJSTV, my online painting school, is a full lesson from beginning to end. Every brush
stroke is covered. None of it is time-lapse at all. It's just all real time with instruction
throughout. I've actually got 120 lessons on MJSTV, so please go and have a look. But anyway, I just
wanted to show you this video here. Now this is obviously a shortened version because it's for
YouTube, but I thought it would be beneficial for all of you that want to learn to paint birds.
Just as a side note, all of the brushes and paints that I've used in this lesson are available
in my store. Link also is in the description. Anyway, enjoy the video.
Right then, let's start working on the bird. I'm going to start work on the left-hand side and work
in this direction here. Let's start first of all with the tail. I'm using the series 10 size 2 for
this. So I'm not putting the details in at this point, we're just doing more general generalized
color. Right, so we're going to start off the area of the tail and using now this is the series 10,
this is the size zero. It's also, can you see that there's just a little bit of a crossover
with it's almost like a cross hatching. Right, so let's just darken up some of the blue around the
neck. Okay, so just going to drag some of this blue feathers down now into the yellow. Okay,
so let's start with the leg. Now I'm going to actually move over to a smaller series two. Now
this is the size two zero. We're going to start working on these details here.
Complete. What we're going to do now is we are going to continue moving up into the rest of
this branch. So there we have it. That's the picture finished. All that's left for me to do
is to sign this. But there's an awful lot to learn in this picture. I mean we have the really strong
sharp details and then we have those more subdued softer details and they all require different
brush techniques and different brushes to get that to look real. But I'm pretty pleased with
the way this turned out and hopefully you're pleased with yours as well. Yeah, so just going
to give this a sign and then we're all finished. Well, I hope you enjoyed that everybody. If you
did, you know what to do. Give it a thumbs up. Subscribe if you haven't already. Most of you
that watch this video won't actually be subscribed and it really, really helps
the channel if you can subscribe. So, you know, it only takes pressing a button. Easy, easy.
Anyway, yeah, I hope you enjoyed that. Don't forget all the links for everything
are in the description below and I'll see you in the next video.
