Ed Sheeran - I Want to Be Your Future | Original Acoustic Love Ballad

I wanna be your future I wasn't looking for forever Just another ordinary day Then your smile found all my broken pieces And quietly carried them away Now every sunrise wears your colors Every heartbeat whispers something new I never knew a soul could feel like home Until my world was filled with you I wanna be your future The name your heart still calls The hand you reach for every time Life builds its highest walls I wanna be your morning Your midnight and your light The reason every dream comes true The one beside you every night If forever has a heartbeat Let it beat inside us too I don't just want your moments I wanna be your future I've counted stars that couldn't match The sparkle dancing in your eyes I've chased a thousand distant roads But love was never in disguise It waited in your gentle laughter In every word you softly said Now every hope I've ever carried Finds a place where dreams are led I wanna be your future The story time will always tell The place your heart keeps running to Where every dream can dwell Through every storm and every season Every mountain we climb through I'll choose your heart forever Because my future starts with you When your hands are holding mine Even silence starts to sing Every ordinary moment Feels like heaven's offering I spend a thousand lifetimes learning Every little part of you Because loving you is easy Like morning waking into blue If tomorrow brings the rain I'll become your shelter If the world forgets your name I'll remember every letter If the nights become too lonely I'll be your brightest view No matter where this life may lead I'll keep choosing you Some people search for miracles Across the oceans wide Mine was standing right beside me With nothing left to hide Your love rewrote my history Turned my scars to melodies Now every page that's left to write Belongs to you and me I wanna be your future You're forever after all The one who lifts you higher Whenever shadows fall I'll build a life worth dreaming Brick by brick with truth Every promise starts today I wanna be your future When our hair is touched with silver And our steps are slow with age I'll still look at you the same way As the first time on that day Every wrinkle tells a story Every smile still feels brand new Time can never steal the wonder Of falling more for you Let's chase sunsets across oceans Dance beneath the pouring rain Laugh until the morning finds us Holding hands through joy and pain Every photograph we'll capture Will remind the world it's true Love was always waiting for me Inside the heart of you Promise me when life gets harder We'll never let love fade We'll fight for every heartbeat For every vow we've made I'll be your calm in chaos Your strength when hope seems few Every road becomes worth walking If I'm walking next to you Maybe we were written somewhere Long before we learned our names Every road and every heartbeat Quietly prepared to stay Now I see forever clearly Every time I look at you Every prayer I never spoke Was answered when love came through I wanna be your future Your always and your home The place your heart can safely rest No matter where we roam I'll love you through the seasons Through every dream we pursue The greatest gift I'll ever know Is building life with you If forever has a meaning It's written in your eyes I don't just want to love you I wanna be your future So if the years keep turning And the stars begin to fade I'll still be standing by your side Unshaken, unafraid Because every beat inside my heart Has only one dream left to do To spend forever loving you And be the future waiting for you
