Krystian Zimerman signed with the Yellow Label 50 years ago in 1976 this last week (23.6.). We are honored to have shared such a special musical partnership. Watch this video of his performing the full final movement Rondo of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58 with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. The performance was filmed at LSO St. Luke's in London in 2020.

Written between 1795 and 1809, Beethoven's Piano Concertos are some of Beethoven's most important works. Ground-breaking in their nature, they trace the development of the concerto through a key period in its history: themes grow in number, the piano writing becomes richer and more complex, the orchestra steps further into the spotlight and harmonies become richer and more expressive. And although 30 years separate this cycle from Zimerman's previous one, the Polish pianist's impeccable touch and technique remain the same, bringing special insights to these ever-rewarding works.
