Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia v Greece (Declaration as a remedy)
Jul 11, 2026
In this international law case, the nation now known as North Macedonia accused Greece of failing to abide by certain provisions of a treaty made between the two nations in 1995. The court could not make any practical orders to undo the harm, but the court could - and did - make a declaration that Greece had failed to complete its obligations.
