Inside a £650,000 4 Bed Countryside Home in Lincolnshire

Hello New Build Show, I'm Millie and today we're exploring a £650,000 barn conversion in Timberland, a picturesque village in the heart of Lincolnshire. Now this is quite a unique development because we're located just 14 miles from the historic city of Lincoln, but right here we're just surrounded by open fields and quiet lanes, so you get the real rural countryside feel. Now let's start the tour right here. We have a very good sized driveway, this is a pretty decent size and we also have a double garage just there on my left, so plenty of parking options. Now just over here, the garden, this is your front garden, south facing, so plenty of beautiful natural light inside which you'll see throughout the tour and just a moment for the exterior because this is pretty impressive, what a great transformation. We've got restored brickwork, barn style glazing and also a bit of a contemporary twist with some of the details which we'll show you more of inside. I mean, it's beautiful in there, it's got open plan spaces which are filled with light, but we also have the beautiful barn style too. So this tour though is extra special because this home could actually be yours for £1.99 through a competition with the seven days performance. Now the competition goes live on Christmas day, so if you fancy giving it a go over the Christmas holidays, the winner will then be announced on the 4th of January, so what a great way to start the new year. Now if you don't fancy the house, you can take the cash instead which is £500,000 so pretty life-changing. Let's head on inside and check it out. Welcome inside, now the first thing you'll notice when you walk in is this spiral staircase and this leads up to a mezzanine level but we'll show you that later on. Now the home sort of split up into two different sections, so all of the bedrooms are behind me which we'll explore later, but for now let's go into the open plan spaces. Wow, look at this, the volume in here is incredible. We've got double height ceilings and bifold doors all the way across here, so lots of natural light coming in. Now you've probably noticed the balloons dotted around, we have a lovely balloon arch here. As I mentioned outside, the winner of this house will be announced on the 4th of January, so it's literally ready for you to move in and have your very first party and what a great place to host. Now as usual in an open plan space we have a few different sections, so you've got your kitchen here, your dining area and then your lounge further down, but let's go and have a look at the kitchen first. Now in here they've done a really great job at matching the kitchen to the style of the house, so of course this used to be a barn and they've sort of paid homage to that in some areas. For example just here they've added a bit of brickwork on the splashback, but it also feels incredibly timeless this kitchen. It's a shaker style and they've gone for this lovely deep navy which isn't going to go out of fashion either and it looks beautiful. Over here on the island we have premium appliances of course, so we've got a Siemens induction hob and the extractor fan is actually built in, so it means you don't have to have it up here on the ceiling and instead they've gone for this beautiful statement lighting. Now over here more appliances, we've got the Neff double oven and then just on my right is where your fridge and freezer would go. In classic New Build Show style, let's have a little explore of the storage options and I've had a peek already, I'm very impressed. So just behind me we have some nice glass cabinets, perfect for displaying any nice glasses that you have and then we also have all the way along here is storage, so even under the sink which is fantastic. We also have an integrated dishwasher just over here on my right and some spaces for some wine bottles too. There is also an extra wine cooler but I mean if you wanted to put some red wine there that would be great. Then over here as I mentioned this would be where your fridge and freezer go, but there's even more storage. Okay it pulls out this one on either side, so that could be for your spices, anything like that and then more options in here. Okay the owners left us some whipped cream, so ready for your first hot chocolate when you move in and then more storage over this side. Now this is the one I'm most excited about. Now this could be a real hidden pantry, I mean you can see it now with the nice glass jars with your coffee, even a coffee machine in there and these pull out too, very very nice. Now more storage, we haven't stopped there, even on the side of the island they've managed to fit in some storage options and this one, that's a pretty good size drawer. Now what an impressive kitchen island this is, it's absolutely huge and my favourite thing about this is how sociable it is, so you can be stood here cooking your dinner and you've got your guests out there and you're still interacting with them, you're not going to have your back facing them. Now also more storage here on this side of the island and I have to show you this one because it's my favourite, I mean how organised is that, it looks gorgeous. Also you'll notice in here we have the exposed beams and it kind of gives an industrial feeling in here, obviously they are there for structural purposes but they also add a bit of character to the space as well. So next we're going to explore the rest of the open plan spaces but just to finish up the kitchen, we also have a utility room. In here you have space for your washer and dryer and it's in the exact same style as we saw in the kitchen, so it feels very cohesive. You've got a sink in here too and even more storage, I mean in here, just places to put all the stuff that you don't want on display in your kitchen. Now just down here on the right there's more storage options and there's also a nice place to keep your shoes and boots, anything muddy when you're coming in from a dog walk because there is a side access through there as well. Over here is your dining zone and this is going to be a great place if you do have guests coming over and if you're throwing that party on the 4th of Jan, they have got everything set up for you. I mean like I said, happy new year if you do win this house. Now this is a great option if you want a bit more of a formal dinner rather than the breakfast bar. Now with the volume of this room there's definitely potential to have a bigger table in here or even do something completely different with the room, so let us know if you have any ideas in the comments below but let's go and have a look at the lounge. Let's just take a moment to appreciate the sheer scale of this room. I'm sure from where you are now you can see how incredible it looks behind me. You can also see a sneak preview of the mezzanine level but I'll show you that in a second. Now this is a very aesthetic looking lounge, I'm loving the greens we've got going on and a very comfortable and large sofa and I can appreciate how nice this looks but realistically we're going to have a TV here, we're not going to have a picture, we don't want to be sat on the sofa looking at a picture. There is actually cables behind here ready for your TV to be installed, I mean personally I'd go for a bit of a media wall in here. Okay so I've taken myself up to the mezzanine level and it's so cool up here so come and have a look. It's so snug up here, at the minute they've got it set up as somewhere to do a bit of yoga over here and then also a seating area so a great place to read your favourite book. I mean personally though I was thinking what a great home office this would make up here, you're away from everything that's going on down there but you're still kind of involved so you can still hear the conversations going on downstairs but the real showstopper is the view that you get. Come and have a look at this, I mean I was telling you about this scale but you can really see it up from here, it looks pretty incredible. Okay now we've finished with the open plan spaces, there are four bedrooms to explore so let's go and have a look. So first up in this section of the house is the family bathroom so let's go and have a look. So in here it feels very premium, we have got a few different tiles going on and they are full height again adding to the luxury feel. We also have this beautiful freestanding bath and my favourite thing about this bath, they actually have a whole display of Seychelles by the White Company which is my absolute favourite so that does also come included, even a candle in there too. There's also a big vanity here and this light actually switches on with the touch of a finger and then we have quite a bit of storage in here as well because they never miss on storage. And then also over here we have a rainfall shower. So just here on my right is the first bedroom but before we head on in, look how incredible this is for your corridor section where all of your bedrooms are. So much natural light coming in, they've actually popped in these very modern looking windows and pretty much all of this space here is part of the extension so very bright and airy. Let's head on in to the first bedroom. Now this would be a great guest suite or even the main bedroom but you can decide which one will be the main bedroom as we continue. Now they've gone for quite earthy and neutral tones in here with this lovely green quilt and we also have the exposed beams in here too. Now this one does come with its own ensuite so let's go and have a look. In here we have his and her sinks and we also have a cool mirror that turns on when you tap it and we also do have a rainfall shower in here as well. Next one along, this bedroom is another great size. I think this is actually my favourite bedroom design-wise. Also seating area in here so again you can tell how spacious it is and all of the bedrooms in here actually have so much storage. I mean I've spoken about storage a lot in this tour but look at that, you get a fair bit of room in there. Okay so in here you even have space to put your shoes on the floor, long coats, I mean you could do a lot with this space, there's two of them as well. Oh my gosh, I can't walk! Okay let's continue, I will stop falling over at some point to the next bedroom. Okay so next bedroom along is a very similar layout to the last one we saw so let's go and have a look. In here it is slightly smaller than the last bedroom we saw but you do still get those big double wardrobes. Now again double bed in here and this one actually benefits from its very own desk area. Now I know I mentioned earlier about there being two potential main bedrooms so this is one of them, let's go and have a look. Now this one immediately does feel slightly bigger than the first one we showed you and it has a nice bit of an entrance as you walk in, however one thing I have noticed is the ceilings are slightly lower so you don't get the benefit of the vaulted ceilings which makes it feel more spacious. However we do still have a double bed and the wardrobe space too and this one also comes with its own ensuite so I am intrigued, if you were to win this house for £1.99 which one would you have as your main bedroom?
