He highlights the variety and freshness of the Brazilian hotel breakfast compared to the processed options he encountered in the US, while also discussing the city's atmosphere, security, and the welcoming nature of Brazilian culture toward Americans.
All right guys it is Tuesday morning and we are we are at the hotel here. I figured I'd bring you
guys along to breakfast but also to show you the hotel here and uh show you life here in
for a travel day here in Brazil as far as being in a hotel. So we are in Sao Paulo. I'm not sure
exactly at the neighborhood. I'll find out and mention it here in a little bit. But staying at
a hotel. I think it's called like Blue Tree something. Also post that later. And uh I've
stayed at this hotel chain before. It's pretty it's pretty good. It works pretty well and has
all the necessities. But one of the things that I've come to experience at. Let's see here.
Restaurant is this way. So I'm guessing this is where our food will be. Yes breakfast is here.
As you can see here everywhere in Brazil is uh world cup. Everything's world cup.
And we'll get the records here.
Is uh in Brazil we have a lot of fruit. That's uh all of this.
Bolo de tapioca. It's probably not something common in America before. So you can see this
this um place is really international. So they have Portuguese and English.
Pancakes. Never with maple syrup in Brazil. We don't have maple syrup but they use honey
oftentimes. And yogurts for colonies as well. The bread.
Cakes. Bolo I would say. Coffee of course. Green corn. It sounds pretty hard to read though.
Here's uh eggs. Couscous which is really normal as well. Hot dog which is I can't beat this. One
thing though is that if you don't lose those are hot dogs. Croissants. Polenta. Grilled bananas.
You know they always always had some green juice. A good juice. And yeah. So I'll eat breakfast here
and I'll share with you guys my weight and then I will uh I will explain the differences here.
All right guys. I thought I would share with you my morning breakfast here. Coffee of course.
And then the suco detox we have over Brazil. And then also uh eggs. Couscous which has become more
common for me to eat every now and then. Croissant because why not. And then I wanted to share with
you guys some of the different yogurts here. So in Brazil we have like Integrao which is like a
natural yogurt and also milk. So it's like uh two percent I guess you'd consider in America.
And this basically is is like Integrao. So they didn't remove any of the fat or moving any of the
sugars. And I'm probably explaining this wrong so you guys need to let me know if I am or not.
We have yogurt desnatado. So desnatado they they remove some of the fat and sugar
from what I understand. Because it's a lot it's a lot more. Let's do a comparison here.
So calories are about the same. Um yeah this seems to be has less sugar. So I think that's
the difference. I don't know. You help me if I'm wrong or not. Let me know. And then the other
thing that I grabbed here this morning just to try it out is a this is a vegetable yogurt. So
I don't even know what that I don't know what that is. How do you make yogurt out of vegetables
without milk? But zero gluten, zero lactose, zero milk. It's 100% vegetable so it has to be
something with with that. So let's eat and we will uh we'll discuss some things here shortly.
I can feel the judgment coming through the screen about not grabbing the fruit. So
papaya and banana to go with my suko to detox my green juice. All right so just finishing up
breakfast. Wow I went with uh integral yogurt. I tried this vegetarian yogurt. Guys I don't
suggest this at all. I would swear. Yeah so the coffee is what it is. Normally I bring my own uh
coffee. Normally no but I like to because uh sometimes the quality of coffee in places
you just never know. But I can't bring the canister of gas with me. So I mean I guess
I could bring like that thermos that's electric. But anyway so one of the things that has changed
for me is in America I would never eat couscous for breakfast. But in Brazil oftentimes you go
to a hotel you go to a place they're gonna have rice they're gonna have food from a variety of
foods from all over Brazil. So this place in Sao Paulo kind of centralizing the country between
the north and the south. They're gonna have both foods you know fruit foods. They're gonna have
different kinds of foods and then couscous is something more like the nordeste like aya in
that place. But they're going to include that as well. So it's something that I've become accustomed
to eating a little bit. Obviously hotel eggs are never any good. But uh I need to finish up my
fruit here. But one of the things that is way different and I can contrast this. My wife and
I were in America this last January. We went to a hotel there and there was no fruit like at all.
And everything was like just processed food. So it was waffles that you made yourself like in a
waffle maker thing. It was everything inside like containers and they like the eggs were like super
processed or powdered eggs whatever. I don't even think there was any uh there was like sausage that
was like you know the kind of frozen sausage that you get in like the the stores in America. They
have like that kind of sausage. But they didn't have any like any fruit. They didn't have any
yogurt. Oh they had yogurt. Oh my wife's like no they had yogurt. But the yogurt was
it was good. It wasn't it wasn't it wasn't the best. But anyway it's um it's a big difference
between food in American food in Brazil. And you know there was there's a woman sitting next to me
here. I didn't record her. I don't know if you guys understand how weird it is to like sometimes
record your life when you're in a public place. And obviously that's you know I don't have her
permission to record her whatever. And I want to respect people's rights and all that. But um
she had like she had brought home food. I don't know where she was from. But she
she brought home food. She had like a salad. She had like a jar of stuff. And I'm like I think she
was probably from another country or something. Because um in Brazil I don't normally see people
bringing home food like that in some ways. But my wife is like now correct yourself.
Brazilians bring around. Yeah because people like to take care of themselves. Some people
She said some people are very like organized in their structure of things.
In America like it's something that if you want to be more healthy you need to bring your own
food because they don't have it. They're not going to have it in the hotel or in the restaurant or
whatnot. A restaurant yeah but the hotel normally not. So so yeah guys um let me know what you think
in the the comments about food in Brazil. It's one of the big topics actually that we
um people often ask me about because in America the food is so bad and it's so
processed and it's so um you know each time more it's getting away from
healthy. I mean it's really not healthy these days. And so even organic I saw something recently
even organic in some ways in America is using different chemicals as well. Um so you know
what we have as far as food natural food um fruits especially here in Brazil is something that
we need to take more advantage of those of being able to live a healthier life. So
yeah I'll show you guys a little bit more. We're on the hotel here and then uh we'll wrap this
video up. All right there's something else. I was leaving the restaurant here. A piece of art
has the Brazilian flag American flag and uh statue not statue of liberty. I almost called it the
statue of liberty. That is the Eiffel Tower the leaning tower of Pisa. So one of the things here
is that you won't see really in America is that the way that things are so international. I mean
it's so maybe this is different in America these days. I've been gone for 10 years guys. Some of
you guys ripped me in the comments but in Brazil you'll see like an American flag with a Brazilian
flag. In America you'll never see a Brazilian flag with an American flag. You're never going to have
that that style of of thing. And so one of the things that's always interesting for me is that.
So let me show you guys really quickly the the lobby here and uh I'll show you actually out here
the the parking. Well actually let's we'll start with the lobby first here. This is the lobby of
the hotel that we're at here. I realized in one of my videos yesterday that that uh sometimes with
this camera because it doesn't have a gimbal some of my footage can be a little shaky. So
maybe I need to turn on like stabilization on this because it's a you should have stabilization
but maybe it doesn't. Anyway here we are. So this place is uh pretty secure. It's got a gate to
enter and a gate to exit. So uh you know Sao Paulo is is a whole nother world. There's tons of people
always in movement. Tons of construction. See above me here and uh tons of security. You know
when you have millions and millions of people one of the things that you need more of is security.
So um you know looking at this place it's next to a hospital as well I guess.
I'm not honestly entirely sure. I haven't been to this hotel before but there's a
thing there and then you know a bunch of restaurants and stores down that way.
Anyway so here's the the hotel. Pretty nice place actually for Sao Paulo. The capital of Sao Paulo.
Somebody corrected me. I said oh Sao Paulo the capital and they're like it's not the capital
of Brazil. True but but yeah so you know one of the things in Sao Paulo is there's tons of cars.
Tons of people. Tons of everything and so you know parking is crazy. Um I never rent a car
and drive them in Sao Paulo. I just always get an uber. Depending on what you're here to do um you
could you could basically get a get just an uber. That's what we usually do when we're here. Usually
we try to stay as well close to like restaurants and close to a mall. It's always a good tip when
you're traveling. Get a hotel that's close to a restaurant or I'm sorry close to a mall because
the mall is going to have pretty much everything you need. It's going to have pharmacies. It's
going to have uh shopping. It's going to have basically everything that you need. So uh we we
normally get a hotel close to a mall depending on what we're there to do. All right so all right
and here's the flags here in Brazil. Like I said you know one of the things you're not going to see
in America is you will never see a hotel that's going to have an American flag and going to have
a Brazilian flag together. Just not going to happen. So anyway this is Sao Paulo and uh let me know
what you guys think in the comments. Oh here we go. Got a jeep with the Brazilian flag. Jurassic
world. Oh an American flag on the back. Brazil and America have a have a great relationship together.
So this is this is what's what's happening. If you're American interested in moving to Brazil
you'll be widely welcomed here and uh and yeah. So guys let me know in the comments what you think
about this hotel or breakfast and everything else here in Sao Paulo and uh look forward to
connecting with you guys in the comments. Also follow me on Instagram. I'd love to connect with
you on Instagram. Shoot me a DM there. I love connecting with you guys there. It's been fun to
get you know get to know you that way because YouTube doesn't have a way to to interact
on like direct messages or anything like that. So the best way is through Instagram. All right guys
until next time see you later.
