Hello to you! Erin and Kelly here and welcome to The Southern Table. Today we're going to have a
little red, white, and blue fun with a DIY you're going to love for your home. That Americana style
is everywhere, so popular, especially during the summer months. It's charming, it's timeless,
and traditional, and this DIY framed flag art is so easy you can make this in a matter of minutes.
And what we love about it, it comes together with just a few supplies and you really can show off
your personality in the styles that you pick. These frames really set the stage for the first
part of this project. And that's really the first item you'll need to search for. You may have some
beautiful frames already at home that you could use for this. Absolutely, you can use a frame with
glass in the front, a frame that has a mat. The possibilities are endless or no glass at all in
your frame. A great place to find those, of course, thrifting. And we love to thrift frames. Oftentimes
you can find the smaller ones for just a few dollars, the larger custom ones that somebody
has spent a lot of money on. A lot of money. You can find them for under $20 sometimes. And again,
a fun way to show off your personality, picking the style that matches your home. Okay, let's
talk about lining those. And again, the possibilities are endless. You can get real creative. Really
creative. You can use wrapping paper, for instance. We've used fabric on some of these, even scrapbook
paper. I know, so the sky's the limit. Pick colors that complement your home and that still go with
the flag. And it's really an easy project. So easy. We have simply cut down this scrapbook paper
into the size of our frame. As you see, the double-sided tape I've added there. And then
simply pop on your flag, which by the way, you can pick up flags of all sizes at Ingalls Markets.
Pop that in your frame and you have instant art. We love this. And Ingalls Markets does have you
covered on the flags. They have a variety of sizes there that make it easy. Okay, if you want to use
the mat in your photo, you can as well. You're going to take the vac off of your frame and most
of those have that cardboard piece. And you're simply going to wrap that. We use wrapping paper
for this one. You're going to use that double-sided tape to then attach your flag and then pop it
right back in the frame. And you can see several of those that we've already created. It really
is such a beautiful look to bring them all together in a group. We were saying the different
sizes you could use this as a gallery wall if you have a more traditional style in your home.
Exactly. Even for a holiday or celebration. We love that. We love styling them together in groups
on your bookshelf or entry table. Honestly, the possibilities are endless and it's just a
beautiful look for your home. And we love this style in your home. It is never going to go out
of style. It is timeless for sure. Hey, you can find these ideas and so many others by heading
including a list of all the supplies we used on this project. And remember,
there's always a place for you at The Southern Table presented by Ingalls.
