The speaker analyzes Taylor Swift's birth chart to argue that the 8:36 a.m. Capricorn Rising time is the most accurate. By correlating recent life events—such as her engagement and the polarized reception of her latest album—with specific planetary transits, the speaker demonstrates how astrological patterns can validate a birth time through the process of rectification.
On October 3rd, Taylor Swift's new album Life of a Showgirl came out, and the album has proved to
be divisive among critics as well as fans. In the release of this album, I think we've seen some
interesting things that I want to focus on that both could potentially help to confirm Taylor
Swift's birth time, which has long been debated, but then also it's a good example that shows
the duality of what happens when you're having a really positive transit in one part of your chart
and a really challenging transit in another area of your chart, and how this can coincide with
really positive versus really challenging events in two completely separate areas of the life.
All right, so let's start with Taylor's birth chart and how I think the release of this album
and some of the discussion surrounding it has helped to confirm for me or provide an additional
piece of information that may help to confirm her birth time. There's a lot of debate about
her birth time in the astrological community, and let me get right to the point and show you
the transits that she's having right now to the Capricorn Rising chart because that's one of my
takeaways from this. I haven't been studying Taylor's chart for very long. I only really
became interested in it, I guess we talked about the Venus retrograde a couple of years ago in
Leo when she got together with Travis Kelsey because that really coincided with that transit
for her and for him. But over the summer, one of the things that we noticed is that her engagement
to Travis Kelsey happened very close to the Venus-Jupiter conjunction that happened in Cancer,
and one of the things that I noted at the time is how that conjunction would have occurred in
her seventh house if she was born with Capricorn Rising, which is one of the proposed birth times
for Taylor Swift that people found based on different sources. So that's one piece of this.
The other piece, though, with the release of the album is that the Capricorn Rising chart puts her
midheaven somewhere in early Scorpio, and in early October of this year when she released the album,
that's exactly where the planet Mars has been transiting. So as a result of that,
she's had a transit of Mars over her midheaven in the 11 pole sign house over the past few weeks,
or over the past week, I should say, ever since the album came out, and I think that's very
representative of some of the divisiveness and some of the discussions that have taken place
since the album's release. All right, so here's Taylor's chart. This is the Capricorn Rising chart
in the bottom left-hand corner with 8.36 a.m. is the reported birth time, which gives Capricorn
Rising. We see Cancer is her seventh whole sign house where she would have a Moon-Jupiter
conjunction, and that Venus-Jupiter conjunction this summer would have taken place there in her
seventh house. But what I have in the outer wheel on the right is the transits for October 3rd when
the latest album was released. In this proposed birth time, we see that her midheaven is at two
degrees of Scorpio, and that transiting Mars has been moving through early Scorpio since late
September. So as a result of that, she's having a transit of Mars over the degree of her midheaven,
which represents career, reputation, your overall life direction, and especially your work or
whatever you put out into the world. But then also, her midheaven is in the 11 pole sign house,
which is traditionally the place of friends and groups and alliances.
So what we're seeing here is this interesting transit of Mars, which is the planet of conflict.
Traditionally, it's the planet of war, but also divisiveness and contentiousness transiting over
the sector of her chart that both represents her career, but also her friends, and by extension,
her fan base. In modern times, for people that have a huge social media following,
you really find your fans in the 11th house. So the most basic interpretation we might have
of this transit is that this person would be having a transit where they're having some
conflict or some strife involving both career matters as well as matters pertaining to friends
and groups and fans. That's kind of what's happening right now in terms of the release
of this album. The other transit I want to draw your attention to is we see that Jupiter is still
transiting her 7 pole sign house over there in Cancer. This is really important because it means
she's having a really positive transit in the sector of her chart that represents relationships,
and she's having a really challenging transit in the sector of her chart that represents career
and friends and groups. This is all the more so because with the 8.36 a.m. time,
she has her Sun in Sagittarius in the 12th, so she actually has a day chart which makes Jupiter
the most positive planet for transits and Mars the most challenging planet for transits.
There's other things going on here, of course. Especially this month,
transiting Pluto has retrograded back to one degree of Aquarius, and it's getting ready to
station. It's basically in the process of stationing direct right now at about one and
a half degree of Aquarius. This is conjoining her Venus, which is the ruler of her 10th house
of career, and her 5th house of creativity. According to this chart, transiting Pluto
in this birth time would also be squaring her Midheaven at two degrees of Scorpio.
It's not just the Mars transit through Scorpio and over her Midheaven in the 11th house,
but it's also transiting Pluto stationing in her second house of money and finances, especially
where we find the ruler of the 10th house of career and the 5th house of creativity in the
second house of finances. Then we have transiting Pluto stationing on top of that Venus and squaring
the Midheaven in the 11th house of friends and groups and alliances.
Those are the core transits happening right now. One of the things I wanted to point out about this
I'm still relatively new to this. I don't have a lot of background on Taylor Swift and her
discography and all sorts of other things, so I'm not an expert in terms of being able to rectify
her chart. In terms of the rectification question, which I've been thinking about the past few
months, this is the type of thing you would expect to see that could confirm this birth
time with Capricorn Rising. I think these do start to create some strong arguments that the
Capricorn Rising chart is correct by having those 7th house transits clearly coinciding with her
marriage proposal and now having some challenging career transits coming up when the Capricorn
Rising chart is getting hit with challenging career and fan-based transits, basically,
is what's happening. I think that helps to confirm the Capricorn Rising chart. I know this
is a big debate that I'm wading into that many astrologers have strong opinions about, and I'm
open to hearing counter-arguments and different things like that, but one of the things I noticed
in re-glancing even at the astro.com page to see where some of the original different birth times
came from is one of the things I've noticed is that the Capricorn Rising time is the only birth
time that even potentially had a reasonable source or a possibly valid source to begin with.
I'm going to pull up Astro Data Bank to show you the source notes entry for the different
birth times for Taylor Swift. This is the page on astro.com on Astro Data Bank. They have it listed
as DD, which is dirty data, which is one of the lowest rankings you can give birth times when
there's a bunch of different conflicting birth times that are not confirmed. This page has been
updated a few times recently, but the current page, the first entry that they had was the entry for
the Capricorn Rising time, where it says, forum user Allowed212 cited a Facebook entry on her
fan page that said, quote, Taylor Allison Swift born December 13, 1989 at 8.36 a.m. on a Wednesday
born at Brampton Civic Hospital in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, and that's the end of the quote.
And then the same data is given in the book Inside Taylor Nation, True Encounters with Taylor Swift
by Sarah Oliver on page 8. So this is important because this is the original source of the
Capricorn Rising chart, because the 8.36 a.m. chart is the Capricorn Rising chart.
One of the questions I have about this is, I'm not clear from this entry because they don't
provide the link, whether this was an entry on her official fan page or whether this was
originally just posted on a fan page of some random fan. But if it was posted on her, the
phrased as it makes it sounds like it was posted on her official fan page on Facebook, and if that's
true, that's actually a pretty good source for her potential birth time. It gives some actual
grounding to the Capricorn Rising chart that may have actually come from Taylor or somebody
connected with her originally, if the time indeed was originally posted on her Facebook page.
If it was just posted on some random page that was like a fan page, that could have been a made
up time. But if it was from her official page, this could be legit. Now I want to list off the
other times. So the next entry it has is it gives an entry for an 8.46 p.m. time, but the Astrodata
Bank, it just says it's from a French website claimed to have 8.46 p.m. from herself on Twitter,
but has since taken it down. The tweet could not be found on Swift's Twitter and is likely fake.
So when they say a French website, this is usually Astro.com's way of referring to Astro
Theme, which is a French website which is known to have made up many fake birth times for celebrities
in the past and to claim that they came from legitimate sources like Twitter. They actually
did the same thing with a few other major celebrities, so that it's kind of a big thing
to know about that Astro Theme has made up a lot of birth times in the past. So this birth time,
then, I don't know if anybody's using it or what rising sign it gives. I think that would give like
cancer rising or something in that area. This is completely bogus because it was based on a tweet
that never existed in the first place and is likely fake. Okay, so now we move on to the next
entry where it says, The Taylor Swift Story 2015 by Jill Parker states,
at Reading Hospital in nearby West Reading, was born the next morning at 5.17 a.m. on the fourth
floor of Maternity Ward. It was December 13th, 12 days before Christmas. And that's the end of
the quote. And then the Astro.com editors, the Astro Data Bank editors, continue and say,
this book gives very specific information and recounts dialogue and events throughout without
giving any sources or citations, making it an unreliable biographical source.
The original origin of the 5.17 birth time comes from a Swift fan website where the fan listed a
number of personal facts related to them, but they were not about Taylor Swift. This page is no
longer online, but the list of quote-unquote facts were saved and reposted online, mistakenly
attributing the author of the list to Swift herself. It reads, quote, 1. I was born at 5.17
a.m., which I think is really cool because 5 plus 1 plus 7 equals 13, 13 being Swift's favorite
number. The list goes on to say, 38. I'm seeing Taylor on July 27th, which points to the list
being written by a fan of Taylor and not by Taylor Swift herself. So this is really important because
the 5.17 chart is the Scorpio rising chart, which a lot of people like to use, but it means that the
original source for this was not from Taylor. It was a fan of Taylor saying that their birth time
was 5.17 a.m., and then a bunch of people have then mistakenly thought that that was Taylor
Swift's birth time and that she has Scorpio rising. So different people, maybe they want
to rectify the chart and make an argument for Taylor having Scorpio rising sort of inherently
based on other considerations, but my point here is that if you're going off of the idea that 5.17
was ever considered as ever had a source to begin with, then you're starting from a mistaken
standpoint and assuming that that could be legitimate to begin with when it was clearly not.
So that's not a good basis to start a rectification from.
And then finally, the last entry just says the British AA journal Stellar proposed this time,
5.17 a.m. in its November 2024 edition is most likely, but again, if it's basing this off of
the fake birth time of 5.17, then that absolutely has very little basis to go off of and is not
reliable. That's just like a rectification or basing it off of a fake time that they didn't
realize was fake. So all of that to say, if you remove then all of these fake times that don't
have good sources, the only one that remains is the first one, which is the Capricorn rising chart,
which may have come from her fan page to begin with. So what that means ultimately is not only
the sources for her birth time, the only possibly legitimate source that we have at this point
is the Capricorn rising chart, but also we're seeing the Capricorn rising chart respond to
transits in ways that make sense and that we would expect if she indeed was born with Capricorn
rising, which is like Jupiter's transiting through her seventh house and she's getting married,
and now Mars is transiting her midheaven and 11th house, and Pluto is squaring that,
and she's having major issues with an album release. So obviously this is not the end of
the story and this is not going to be fully definitive, but I wanted to put this out there
both to clarify the sources of some of the birth times that are being used right now,
but also just to point out something that I've noticed as an astrologer who specializes in
rectification that these are the types of things that I would expect to see if that Capricorn
rising chart is correct, and it's pushing me in the direction of thinking that that probably is
her legitimate birth time or something close to it. All right, so that was point one that I wanted
to make. Point two is just more broadly, I think this is a really interesting case.
Let's just say abstractly because it's a really good example how sometimes you can have a really
positive transit that's happening in one area of your life where things are going great. For example,
in the sphere of relationships, she just got engaged, which is a huge deal, and so obviously
there's very positive things happening in the sphere of relationships for her. On her latest
album, that's one of the things that she talks about. She talks about her relationship, she talks
about her partner, and other things like that. So sometimes we can have really positive things
happening in one area of our life that are indicated by a transit that's going through
that sector of the chart, but then we can simultaneously have a difficult transit that's
happening in another area of the life that's coinciding with significant hardships and
difficulties and setbacks. In this instance, it's like she rolled out an album that obviously she
wanted to be successful, but that for different reasons is proving to be divisive, and that
some critics and some fans really are objecting to on different grounds. It's not really my
place to wade into that and get into the critiques and the debates and some of the different things
like that. Also, it's hard sometimes to objectively assess how much this is a real
thing versus if it's just the algorithm that's showing me. If I clicked on one video of Taylor
Swift's album getting criticized, and now I'm being shown a bunch of videos of that,
I realize that it could be an algorithmic thing. But I've tried to look around, and it does seem
there's more pushback about this album than I've seen in other releases in her past, as far as I'm
aware. So I do think it's fair to state that there is something divisive, and she's responded to this
a little bit in interviews, it feels like, recently. To the extent that she has, I think
she's even acknowledging that there has been greater controversy or divisiveness about this
album compared to others. What it comes back to, though, is it's really interesting sometimes to
follow transits like that, where you have a really good transit in one area of the chart
and a really difficult transit in another area of the chart, and how you can sometimes simultaneously
have really great things happening in one area and really challenging or negative or difficult
things happening in another area. That's a fundamental thing that astrology allows us to
study and to access through transits and other methods, is why there are some times in our life
where you have a wedding and a funeral, for example, or you have examples of extremes of
good and bad things happening, sometimes at the same exact time in one's life or overlapping in
different ways. Things like transits can show us the timing of that when sometimes the good
things and the bad things are overlapping in that interesting and unique way. For her, it's
interesting because it's happening in the 7th house of relationships and the 10th-11th house of
career and friends, but it's fascinating to see that happen in other house combinations as well.
For example, let's say that you have a really positive transit that's happening in your 4th
house of home and living situation, and you have a really challenging transit that's happening in
your 3rd house of siblings. So perhaps you buy your first house at that time, or you get a new
apartment or something like that when you're having a good transit in your 4th house of living
situation. But then at the same time, you're having a fight with your siblings or your
neighbors if you're having a bad 3rd house transit at the same time, so that those two things are
happening simultaneously. Or let's say you're having a really positive 5th house transit,
so good things are happening where you have your first child or something like that. But then,
let's say you're having a really difficult transit that's happening in your 6th house,
and so you're having some health issues that are happening at the same time that are kind of
dragging you down. That kind of duality of good and bad things overlapping in life is something
that we all take for granted because it happens from time to time, but it's extremely fascinating
to see it through the lens of astrology and to see the timing involved when those periods
overlap sometimes. That is what I'm fascinated by in terms of this being a good example for,
but that I'd like to study more and perhaps do a whole episode on at some point.
What I'd like to ask you, the viewer, is if you're watching or you're listening to this,
let me know in the comments, especially below this video on YouTube, if you have had a really
good example of this in terms of having a really positive transit happening in one area of your
chart and a really negative transit happening in another area of your chart where you had
really positive and really negative things happening in two different areas of the life,
but that overlapped at the same time. I'd love to hear from you, and I'd love to hear what
transits coincided with that and also what the events were. So, if you have a good example,
let me know, and maybe I'll do a roundup or a summary of a bunch of examples of that in a future
video. Alright, well, I think that's it for this video, so I hope I've contributed to research on
Taylor Swift's birth chart as well as to discussions about transits in general and
the theory underlying transits in astrology. So, thanks for watching, and I'll see you again next
