English Footballers try Korean Street Food for the first time

Today, we're going to be trying a bit of Korean food. We thought it would be a good time to bring you some winter warmer Korean street food favorites. Have you guys ever had Korean food before? No. Nah. First time for me. Never had it. I like it when people say that. Excellent. I get excited for you. Yeah. I'm such a fussy eater. Oh really? Don't venture out much. Okay. This is very new to me. Wow. Where's his plate? First up, tteokbokki. Tteokbokki. Almost calamari looking. I've never seen pasta this thick before. Oh, it's definitely not pasta when you start with it. It's definitely not pasta. Get a little taste. Wow, all in one. You went brave. Interesting. It's chewy. The sauce is unbelievable. Texture's weird. Texture's strange. This tastes like dumpling though. Dumpling-y. Kind of gnocchi. That is so good. Nice and chewy. No, it went down quite nicely. Yeah. Mr. Fussy eater, yeah? It's also got a nice little sharpness to it. A bit spicy. I like that though. Yeah, I like it. Because I'm here for the spice. The spice like, it's keeping me warm. Yeah? I like that. Yeah. It's got a little bit of a kick to it, but... You like the flavor? Yeah, I like the flavor. Yeah, it's nice. It's got a bit of spice to it, doesn't it? It's got a little... It's got a little bit of a kick. Yeah. Just need a minute, I think. Are you liking that? I am. It's a bit too thick. It's getting a little bit more spicy as it goes on. You're not finding it spicy? Not really. She's so annoying. I get so annoyed at myself for stuff like this. It had a small kick. Is it potato? Cassava, maybe? It's actually made from sticky rice. What? Sticky rice? Yeah. This is rice? Yeah. Wow. So how does it take that shape if it's rice? Yeah, that's weird. This is rice that's been like mushed down and then made into those shapes. I've never been so excited to eat some rice. That's delicious. Straight back from all of these. Underneath, some omelette. Give it a little taste. I'm getting stuck in. Look at this, look. Love it. He ain't messing about at all, is he? This is national. You like that? Usually, it'll be an old grandma who's running it, and then you'll have this variety of deep fried twigim that you'll dip into the tteokbokki sauce. In the sauce. Oh, that's... Oh, of course you would. Of course you would. The sauce is unreal. They need a fondue of this sauce, man. That's what it's got. It's so nice. We've got some fried things. Corn dog. Hot dog. You just said hot dog in a bougie way. That's what it sounds like. I've never had one in my life. That looks good. Look at that. Oh, look at the size of that. Dip that in a bit of tteokbokki sauce. Now we're talking, innit? Now we're talking. Look at my eyes when you do it, though. Let's go. Cheers. Oh, wow. Oh, my god. That is banging. We need these at games. Yes. That's fire. Yeah. That's really nice. That means it's good. Okay. Yeah. I have to do a lot of translating in my role. It's like the kids... Translate for the youth. Oh, it's like a donut texture. Often in Korea, they'll sprinkle sugar all over that as well. So it's literally like a sausage-wrapped donut. You know what? Gotta be creative. What are you doing? This is a 감자 핫도그. Thank you so much. I like the look of it. This is one of the funniest looking things I've ever seen in my life. It just kind of looks like someone's growing off of it. Right. The way you're doing it. Okay, this one looks like it's got chips on it. He's got chips on it. This is heavy duty. This is a heavy duty 감자 핫도그. It's sliding out. Is this to be dipping as well? Well, if you want to, you go for it. I just want the sauce. It's all I want is the sauce. I just want as much of this sauce as I physically can. Go for it. Get a nice pull on that. Oh, yeah. Yeah, keep going. Keep pulling. Yeah. Oh, wow. Got a long stretch on that. Oh, my word. Give us a big cheese pull. The real hot. That is a happy heart attack. I really like the outside. Yeah? Yeah, it's really nice. And the cheese is good as well. Crispy fries as well. Soft cheese in the middle. It's a surprise in there. Yeah, 감자 치즈 핫도그. Okay, 감자 치즈. 치즈. Chips on the outside is just a... Does it work? It does, but it's just... I mean, I would never have thought to have done that on anything. It's like the cherry on top of a cake. Every time... I don't think you guys can get better. Yeah. Oh, my god. That's nuts. That's unbelievable. If only I had something to wash this down with. We don't have any cloud beer, I'm afraid. Sorry. I'm sorry. I've had enough. I quite like that. Cream soda. It's cream soda. I don't like cream soda. Does it taste like milk at all? No. Okay. Is it minty? Well, it's called milky. Can you imagine cereal with that? Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Can you get these in London? You can actually get this in the UK, yeah. Actually, you can buy melon flavour, strawberry flavour. We've been introducing this with Gwynthic for quite a while, and this was one of our favourite drinks of British high schoolers, who we introduced it to, and also of Tom Holland. I approve this. I like that a lot. You know, I'm probably more famous than Tom Holland, but I still love it. It's still okay. All right, well, last thing is the real winter warmer. We have some omuk tang. Oh, wow. There you go. What on earth is that? What's it look like? A bit like a folded up pancake, to be honest. It looks like a pancake. It looks like a crepe. Like a wet, wet crepe, yeah. Is it like Nutella in the back? Is there somewhere on the inside? That looks like something that should be crispy, but it's been left in water and gone all soggy. Omuk. I like it. I think. It tastes like pancake and an egg. A wet, a wet omelette. Is that fishy? It has got a hint of fish in it, yeah. I'll tell you what, I don't mind that though. You okay, Joe? Watch where that one's for me. Do you not like fish? No, you know, calamari maybe, with lots of batter and mayonnaise. I don't know if that counts as fish. It tastes exactly how it looks. Soggy and strange and... Are you meant to drink the broth, or is this like... Yeah, definitely meant to drink the broth. Yeah. I wouldn't even need, I'd just say, give me the broth. Yes! You imagine that when it's like minus 10 outside, after school, you pay 50p for one of those sticks. 50p! And they'll give you as much broth as you want. You can just keep re-filling it. And just keep going back. Oh, BA, that is trouble. I'd love this at like a game, like night and cold. That's it. Cold game. When you're outside. Mate, and you just polished that off. You've got an all-in-one. So interestingly, that omelette is just basically the same as the omelette in here, the fish cake in there. Oh, is it fish cake? Yeah, it's fish, look at this. No way. I'll go back for one of these, I've got to say. Essentially the same thing. I'm loving it, and yet I can't have that. It's so weird, it's the same thing, and yet I'm not having that and loving it in there. This makes me realise that food from other countries is so much better than English food. You had to eat this to realise that. This is my favourite time of year, you guys coming here. Literally the only reason I'm still at this club. It's true. Dokbokki is amazing, it's great. The hotteok in the dokbokki sauce, yeah. Like everything. Wow, well played. And the milkis, that's definitely up there. You like the milkis? Big shout out to Milkis for sending us all of these over from Korea. Actually, you can buy melon and strawberry flavour milkis as well. I've never tried any of these. Sugary. Solid. Well, they actually have a zero sugar option coming out soon. We've got to say the phrase, this is where I come to shine. You have to say, Perfect. Oh guys, our nachos. I'm Korean, bro.
