The event comes during dangerous heat, drought conditions, massive security restrictions, and serious concerns about smoke, fine-particle pollution, heavy metals, perchlorates, wildlife, and the Potomac. America’s 250th birthday should be a national celebration, but Trump’s version looks like another ego-driven stunt where the public sweats, waits, breathes the fallout, and watches him claim credit for the explosion.
