Slab Memorial Formation and Eurofighter sunset solo - Antidotum Airshow Leszno 2026
Jul 5, 2026
A special tribute to former Polish Air Force F-16 display pilot Maciej 'Slab' Krakowian, who died during an airshow practice last year. The tribute began with a formation flypast comprising a Slovenian PC-9M leading a German EF2000, A400M and Tornado IDS, before the Eurofighter performed a solo display. It was flown by Noble, one of Slab's closest friends on the airshow circuit.

Well now, a very special formation as we pay tribute to a man who was very much a part
of this event and of the wider airshow community.
Marszej Krakowian, callsign Slab, was the Polish Air Force's F-16 display pilot from
2023 up until August of last year when he very sadly died during a training flight at
the Radom Airshow.
His death sent shockwaves through the European airshow community.
He was a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and had been flying the F-16 from Chezina
for 17 years.
In the wake of his passing, he was posthumously promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.
We owe an immense debt of gratitude to Slab for shaping the Antidotum Airshow.
He was one of its most enthusiastic participants and one of its most vocal advocates.
Also, he was one of its deepest friends.
He was as integral to the success of this show as anybody.
He will forever remain part of the DNA of this most spectacular of airshows.
And as we pay tribute with this special flypast, we'd like to ask for a moment of silence
as we remember our friend, Slab.
Antidotum, we are the Slab formation.
The next pass is dedicated to a good friend, an excellent pilot and a tiger.
Slab, blue skies to you.
Today, performed by one of Slab's closest friends on the airshow circuits,
the German Air Force Eurofighter EF2000 display pilot, Alex Kolsign-Nobel,
in the Eurofighter EF2000.
