Fifteen New Zealand restaurants awarded Michelin stars

The only New Zealand restaurant to earn two Michelin stars last night says it's already been inundated with bookings and enquiries, after receiving one of the world's highest culinary honours.

Queenstown's Essence by Roki topped New Zealand's inaugural Michelin Guide, getting two stars, with 14 restaurants awarded one star. But the guide's rare three-star accolade remains out of reach, for now. Senior reporter Juliet Speedy was at the awards.
