Why Did Kamala Harris Call Mamdani And Pro-Palestine Supporters?

Video Summary
AI GeneratedKamala Harris is reportedly conducting private outreach to Democratic Socialists and pro-Palestinian activists to repair her image for a potential 2028 presidential bid. The discussion explores the internal conflict within the Democratic Party, the challenges of balancing donor interests with voter demands, and the viability of other potential candidates like Ro Khanna.
Pamela Harris privately reached out to Zoran Mamdani following the wins of the three candidates
he endorsed, the three DSA candidates he endorsed.
And then she also reached out to pro-Palestine activists from the Uncommitted movement during
her election campaign.
So why is this all happening now?
It's not as if she's trying to prepare for a run in 2028 or anything, wink wink.
So this was just reported in Axios.
Let me go ahead and share my screen here.
First, I want to read this to you guys and show you some tweets as well.
Former Vice President Harris has held private talks with Mayor Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist
of America member and pro-Palestinian activists of the Uncommitted movement.
These outreach efforts follow Mamdani-backed candidates defeating incumbents in three safe
New York City Democratic districts on June 23rd.
Keep in mind there was also the Democratic Socialists who won in Colorado today beating
the incumbent as well there.
Harris leads early 2028 primary polls, but reactions range from progressive demands for
accountability and others calling it pandering.
So here's the actual Axios article.
Let me see if I can make it fill the whole screen in so that way you guys can see this
clearly.
There we go.
Kamala Harris privately called Zoran Mamdani last week and has been holding lengthy closed
door meetings with other prominent progressives, including pro-Palestinian activists.
Axios will never write the word pro-Palestine activists.
They'll always say pro-Palestinian.
They don't like using the word Palestine.
Actually, most mainstream media, by the way, if you start to notice that.
Why it matters.
It's the latest sign of the former vice president laying the groundwork for potential White House
run in 2028 and looking to strengthen or repair her relations with left-wing Democrats.
She's going to have a really tough time.
Harris called Mamdani last Thursday to talk about the party's future and plan a longer
conversation.
A person familiar with the call told Axios Harris, who occasionally texted Mamdani in
the past few months, called him two days after the mayor's handpicked candidates swept three
congressional races in New York City, ousting a pair of incumbents.
So I mean, we're starting to see now her team.
She went from I'm speaking to to I'm from I'm speaking to may I speak with you.
That's what I can't.
I can't take credit for that.
I saw somebody tweet that.
But that's exactly what happened.
She went from I'm speaking to can I speak with you.
And it's because of the fact that the uncommitted movement was so effective that she actually
wrote in her book that they actually angered her a bit.
She stated that herself.
So that apparently they angered her so much she decided to start reaching out to them
now because she's basically trying to she's trying to rebrand herself for 2028.
Harris and her team also apparently reached out to the uncommitted movement.
Keep in mind that she didn't let them speak at the DNC.
So he he told Axios that he that the requested meeting after months of private conversations
were initiated.
Harris also reached out to former aides and other Democratic Democrats to discuss China
and on many other things.
Now what is this article?
This is a political article from 2023 and it says Kamala Harris Kamala Harris pushes
White House to be more sympathetic towards Palestinians.
This was back in December of 2023.
Apparently this article was being used.
I clicked on it from a different link stating that she was really trying to from the very
beginning trying to make it seem like there was a difference in her posture in comparison
to Biden.
So here's another article and she wrote a book obviously and now she really used her
book that she released.
She's the book has really been released in order to basically rebrand herself.
And now all of a sudden she's acting like her stance on Palestine was completely different
than Biden's, even though she said herself that she would just literally continue everything
going on.
She tried to brand it as if she's somehow now different.
That's what's happening.
So she said she pleaded with Joe Biden.
I had pleaded with Joe.
She wrote this in her book when he spoke publicly on this issue to extend the same empathy he
had showed to the suffering of Ukrainians to the suffering of innocent Gazan civilians.
Innocent Palestinians in Gaza, but anyways, innocent Gazan civilians.
He couldn't do it when he while he could passionately say I am a Zionist.
His remarks about innocent Palestinians came off as adequate and force.
Why it matters is part of her larger effort to part of her larger effort to distance herself
from Biden after not doing so during last year's campaign.
We're going to continue to see this.
And then, of course, she called out Netanyahu and everything else.
They're going to keep doing this.
When I say there, I mean the Democratic establishment.
They're now trying to figure out how to politically navigate this situation.
I can't imagine.
You know, I think I have a very hard time believing that the people that refuse to vote
for her back in twenty twenty four, the Democrats that refuse to refuse to vote for her.
I have a hard time believing they're going to be able to she's going to be able to win
them back.
I think a lot of them are never going to be are never going to be won back.
And she also wrote here.
This is where I wanted I wanted to read you to you guys where she talked about the uncommitted
movement specifically.
And she said that the uncommitted movement, she thought that they were being reckless.
That's what she stated.
Where is it?
The threat the threat to withhold their votes got to me.
It felt reckless.
She writes.
The issue was not binary, but the outcome of this election certainly was.
She adds.
Why weren't they protesting on at Trump rallies?
I wondered.
Well, maybe it's because of the fact that you're the current vice president and you're
not doing anything different and now you're trying to run.
So, yeah, they want to pressure the person.
That's that's the whole point of the fact that it was an uncommitted movement.
They said you have to win our vote.
And then and I thought that Democrats apparently they said they promised that they would run
on that Democrats are the ones who would run on human rights for all and equality and the
care about all of these human principles.
And now all of a sudden they just toss it out to the wayside.
I wonder why they weren't protesting at Trump rallies, she thought.
Maybe it's because Trump has no interest in trying to win their votes anyways.
It's your Democratic base that are that that are the people that are basically trying to
tell you, hey, if you want my vote, you have to do this.
You have to actually have to stand up and say something.
So, you know, this is kind of where we're at now.
Now, I wish I could say, you know, I keep looking and I'm looking at Kelshi, I'm looking
at all the predictive markets.
Really right now, if you look and you look at all the predictive markets, it says the
people most likely to be the Democratic nominees are what AOC, Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris.
That's really it.
But and then also John Ossoff, and I made a whole separate video on him bringing him
up again.
What we're starting to see now is the Democratic Party is honestly in total shambles.
They have no idea which direction to go because their base doesn't support Israel.
Over 85 percent doesn't support Israel.
But their donors do.
And they need money.
But they also want to appeal to their donors and they have no idea what the hell to do.
This is this is the problem now for the Democratic Party.
Kamala Harris, she's going to try to run again in 2028.
It seems pretty obvious.
But it's because she's going to have a hard time winning back voters.
There was this other there's this other clip I actually wanted to show you guys.
This is regarding John Ossoff.
And of course, they make it seem like it's a Jewish thing.
Keep in mind, John Ossoff, you guys know who I'm talking about when I say them.
I know other people have seen I have seen him before.
I've previously mentioned him here.
Let me share my screen so you guys can see him better.
This guy right over here.
So he's the he's the senator of Georgia.
He's you know, he's starting to show there.
They're starting to be more popularity for the idea of him running for president in 2028.
I made a separate video showing you guys his stance on Palestine.
He's a lot he's he's much he's a lot more, you know, moderate on the issue.
And if you look at his voting record record, it's pretty mixed.
And he's he's definitely went further than even Biden, for example.
And a lot of your other, you know, mainstream Democrats, these mainstream Democrats when
it comes to it.
So a lot of the Democratic establishment right now, because of the fact that he's also Jewish,
thinks he might be more palatable to the current Democrat, to the current shift in public perception.
However, they're trying to make it, you know, mainstream media is trying to make it seem
like Democrats are just anti-Semitic and they'd never vote for a Jewish person.
So I want you guys to actually take a listen to this clip here, because I thought I found
it very humorous.
Where is it?
Let me go ahead and play this one for you.
Take a listen.
But on the Jewish thing, because he is a he is Jewish.
He might be the Democrat that can thread the needle, because even though he's Jewish, he's
very critical of the Israeli government, very critical of Benjamin Netanyahu.
He has credibility on that issue.
So it's possible that I think he could be hit, fill that lane in between the two extremes
of the Democratic Party.
Ask Scott Weiner how that's working out for him.
OK, who who the hell is this lady?
Ask Scott Weiner.
Why didn't she say ask Brad Lander?
Brad Lander is Jewish.
It seemed like excuse me, it seemed like that worked out pretty well for Brad Lander.
Scott Weiner, his position on on Israel has that's the reason why he's been getting so
much hate, because he he himself, his position on Israel has always been trash.
Brad Lander is Jewish.
He spoke out.
He seems like he's doing fine.
But of course, you know, they keep trying to make it about the religion.
Yeah.
As a Jew, some people read a little more Jewish than other people.
And John Ossoff may not read as Jewish as Josh Shapiro does for whatever that's worth.
What's that even mean?
Dude, just say some people are Zionists and some people aren't.
Why are you guys so obsessed about making it about religion?
It's really starting to irritate me.
Some people read more Jewish than others.
Nobody cares.
It really just comes down to Zionism.
The people that do care don't have as much sway in elections than the vast majority of
people that really just care about whether or not you support funding Israel.
That's that's just how it is.
Matter of fact, they're so obsessed with trying to make it seem like it has to do with religion,
with anti-Semitism, with this whole victimhood complex.
I'm really sick of it.
Now, this is what I'll say if I if I really look like if we really took the time to think
about this analytically and who actually has the best chance as a Democrat.
This is what I would say.
You know, obviously, everybody that's already listed.
But you need to think, OK, who has the money?
Who would the establishment actually get behind?
Who is actually palatable, not just to, you know, the very to the far left or to the leftist,
but also to the average mainstream Democrat, which actually is millions and millions and
millions of voters that they need to win.
So who is somebody that could actually, you know, who is somebody that would be the most
palatable to everybody to try to win as many votes as possible?
So right now, if you look at that, I mean, John Ossoff, he's definitely one of them.
I just think he's more palatable.
Ro Khanna.
That would be amazing.
I don't know if he'd be able to get the donor money.
Maybe he would be.
John Ossoff, I think he was able to fundraise, what, $60 million for his Senate race.
You need a billion dollars to run for president.
That's just a matter of fact.
It does come down to money.
So if you're somebody like, I don't know, Ro Khanna or Graham Platner, he's fundraised
$16 million.
Now, $16 million is great.
Do you think somebody like him could fundraise a billion with a B?
That would be very, very difficult.
And if you don't have a billion dollars, you're not going to be president.
That's just how it is at the end of the day.
So you have to find somebody that can actually fundraise that much while at the same time
being somebody that's palatable to everybody.
It's very difficult.
I really like Chris Van Hollen, Senator of Maryland.
I think he's shifted a lot.
He's really, really changed.
I think he's a genuine guy.
But again, it kind of goes back to that same sort of thing.
So right now, it seems like it's going to come down to some of the worst of the worst
people that we've already expected, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom.
And I think that neither of them could really win.
John Ossoff, I'd love to see Ro Khanna on a ticket.
Who's to say?
What I will tell you guys is that there's a Palestinian American that I met, and she's
actually an election analyst, and she's really successful, actually.
She's worked with all the big elections.
She's worked with the Biden administration, reached out to her to do some analysis.
So she's really done a good job.
And she was telling me that Ro Khanna actually reached out to her and asked her to basically
do an analysis and put together what her thoughts are on him running for president.
So he's definitely putting out feelers right now for a Ro Khanna 2028 presidential run.
Again, it kind of just comes back to would he actually be able to do it?
Would he be able to actually pull it off?
Would he be able to find the funding?
It's tough.
I don't know.
So we'll just have to wait and see.
Let me know what you guys think in the comments below, though.
And if there's somebody else that I haven't mentioned, also let me know.
So I try to really take it from, OK, who would I really love to see?
And then who would be able to actually gather money and who would be able to be palatable
enough to everybody?
It's very it really comes down to statistics more than anything.
So let me know what you guys think in the comments below.
